  • @1redgate8, why is that not creme? what is it if not creme?

  • That is not crema sorry to tell you.

  • Absolutely right - it is not crema at all. Need to build up more "pressure". If you don't want to spend too much money to buy a expensive coffee maker. OK - try "Brikka". it works pretty good.

  • @waltshen I like my brikka, but it's just making foam too, not much different than in this video, it just happens all at once.

When I'm using one of my other, non-brikka, pots, I always pull it off the heat just before it starts blowing foam. It tastes better that way.

  • Depends on coffee . It must be FRESH (not from super markets) .

Anyway enjoy it , it is still great (even withou crema !).

I just bought a similar clone (stainless steel) and its great compared with aluminum pots .

I don't like Brikka either . Brikka BURNS the coffee .

  • @x100gr I've rarely had a problem with my brikka burning the coffee. It has happened a couple times when the valve hasn't opened for some reason, but in general it turns out well.

That said, I don't think it has a huge advantage over a standard pot. The difference isn't huge, and most of the time I use my cheap 3 cup Laila moka pot, because my 2 cup brikka's a little bit too small (The brikka's fill line is lower than a standard 2 cup pot)

  • yeah, what's the trick, any notes please?

  • how do u get so much crema with this pot? how much water do you use for the bottom chamber?
