you cant just assume you purposly took 3 pitches, they were all the same pitches, all rivera specials, the cut fastball outter half of the plate in the same location.

As a hitter if Manny was waiting for a pitch on the inner half, he was being patient and didnt take his cuts, and sometimes he does that its manny being manny.. if the pitcher can beat him, then all the power to him. Last time i checked, Rivera wasnt a bum closer, its not like he was up against some no name.
