  • Om, i think you mean sean tucker?

  • @deafInstruments nope this is eric his son, also sean doesnt fly a extra 300l....

  • lol i have a old vhs with this guy doing a flatspin as a stunt

  • that looks cool

  • Very nice spin and recovery.

  • Perfect!

  • what is the diffrence in normal spin and a flat spin? one more question . in a spin to the right we need apposite rudder and what kind of elevator setting we need when pulling out of the spin? i got this question wrong on my ppl written.

  • @caonoak Elevator down to break the stall.

  • @caonoak normal spin is where it spins while going vertical, so it spins on its axis, a flat spin is where it spins on its front or back while stay parallel to the ground

  • @caonoak in a flat spin, the aircraft attitude is closer to cruise; in an ordinary spin there is a fair amount of nose-down; in both cases the aircraft is moving down vertically; a spin where the aircraft's CofG is still moving horizontally would be dynamic such as in a snaproll

things that will make a spin flatter : aft Center of Gracity location, gyroscopic precession (for instance, if in a left spin with a prop that spins counterclockwise, the higher the RPM the flatter and faster the spin)

  • @caonoak as to what elevator setting you need :

    - you need to stop the rotation first : if you elevator position prevents sufficient airflow from hitting the rudder, you won't get out of it

    - you will need to get break the stall (typically elevator slightly forward of neutral) , and ease out of the dive

As you get out of the spin, outside wing will recover lift sooner, temporarily increasing rate of rotation

  • Awesome.
