    pleeeeeeeeeeeez help me

  • bitch

  • you have to be a noobzor not to know this...

  • @Makojumbi Well I dunno about you, but everyone has to start from somewhere. Even the great artists you see now in the field of digital art, they too were noobs once. Anyone can be a noob when they're starting out, and I think this video is really neat and would help anyone starting with photoshop immensely. It took me two years to learn that there was something known as multiply, so there.

@xgcwardog Great job with the video!

  • @Fjnoxluvscomixhaa lets not get too butt hurt over a video comment on youtube.

this technique took me 5 minutes of fiddling in photoshop to learn. so yup it's noob.

  • @Makojumbi No no no, dude you're gettin me wrong. I just said that this video makes it easier to learn. I'm not here to argue over this. Whatever.

By the way I checked your page out, you draw really well man. You got a deviantart or something?

  • @Fjnoxluvscomixhaa aha sorry man you caught me in a pretty foul mood. haha, but no i do have a deviant art, i just havent updated it in forever, the community there never seems to notice that i exist. but perhaps i'll set up some pics on my profile.

  • @Makojumbi Hey aint no problem. That happened to me too when I was starting out and I stopped checking my page for a while because of that, but I was still there browsing other artworks and then on a sudden whim I went and checked my page and saw that people were welcoming me to deviantart. Its a massive community and it does take a while for people to notice you, but if you stick to it you can meet some neat people and artists and get inspired and learn and stuff. Link please?

    Update your page!

  • Nice!

  • Thanks for the tutorial, this was really helpful :D

  • Crappy audio but very nice tutorial

You helped me a lot :D

    Thx

  • I was first just listening and when the msm pop-up I was shocked and then I saw what it was xDD really it reminded me of my brother when he do something important and someone making him get from it a moment xDD and I laughing everytime I hear it

  • lol, msn pop-up rawrrwar! :P

  • I loled twice... during his rawrrwar, and when I read your comment.

  • how did you get the mini version of the picture there, above where it shows the layer info?

  • thank u so much!

    5/5

    fav

  • it won't let me paste the picture to photobucket. i think i'm doing it wrong. T~T

  • photo bucket?

  • these sorts of videos will definatly help people like me get better at colouring in photoshop. (people like me; being people who don't really know how to do anything decent in the colouring side of photoshop work).

    thank you very much ^^

  • wait, that turned out more like an insult to people.

I just mean people who don't really know exactly what to do to get really good quality colouring in their work.

  • how do u color under the painting??

  • you need the sketch on the top layer if you want to know how to do so feel free to PM me anytime

  • Thank you!

  • OHH THANK YOU!! :D

-Since I'm such a newbie to PS, so I had to rewatch the video 4-5 times.. Well anyways, thank you! :D

  • SSOOOOOO awesome!!!! thx alot! =]

  • PANDA BAKA!!! FTW!

and thank you ive been searching for a tutorial on youtube that was step by step :) THANKS AGAIN XD

  • That helped me sooo much!

  • You sound like from a guy from radio:DDD

  • i love pandabakas drawings. 0.0

  • hey thats pandabaka ^^

  • Many thanks for the tutorial. :)

  • Thank you thank you a thousand times, thank you!! xD LMFAO

    Thanks for sharing..? xD

Lol, i've looked up tons of tutorials on how to color an anime picture...i didn't really understood what they meant! but then your video helped explain :D

    arigatou !!

i'm going draw TONS of pictures now ~

  • thank you!!!! T_T

  • Oh, okay... I commented too early :D Sooo, thats the point, I get it... thats why I was having some problems :D

  • Okaaay... I got a question... Whats the point of setting the layer mode to multiply?

  • so that you don't color over the lineart. with multiply you can see underlying layers through the colrs you lay down

  • So you don't just color over the picture, it blends it in.

  • When you color on a regular layer, it the color will go OVER your line art, and you wont be able to see your line art any more. The multiply layer makes the colors "transparent", so you can still see your line art through the color.

FYI, you can also set your line art to multiply and have it on the top, then you don't have to multiply all of your color layers and you get the same effect.

  • Aheeey~ A simple, yet beautiful tutorial. Thanks for sharing it with us. :]

  • i´m new with drawing with photoshop how do you select the background is there a button combination or what? i didnt understand that, sorry for my bad english and thanks for an answer

  • I believe he is using the magic wand tool, I'm actually using CS2 so I wouldn't know if the setting are the same but you can go into your tool window and find it. In CS2 you change the tolerance at the top (you just type in a level, 255 is highest) and that is how much it selects. You have to play around with it because it depends how big the picture is and so on. Hope I helped even though I'm bad at explaining ^_^;

  • Why don't you use sound recorder.......

in accessories or did you use that? cause it works fine for me.

  • as of today i love you i have seen like a million videos to try and help me and u explained it so well thank you

  • i have a for real question.

i used this technique and my drawing came out pretty cool, but how can i fill in the background with a single color without having to paint around the entire photo.

this would help me a lot.

  • i already filled the rest of the sketch with color so deleting every layer is out of the question.

  • just use the magic wand and highlight the blank area around the drawing and then use paintbucket to fill it around. hope that helped!

  • To avoid darkening the color.

You must make a new layer for every mode.

    :3

  • Or you can mask out what u wanna color and then choose a large brush and only make one big stroke over ur mask.

  • How do you mask out something???

  • When i use the brush tool how can i avoid darkening the first stroke with the second?

  • Phototshop always seemed like comparing the controls of a car (Microsoft Paint) to the controls of the Space Shuttle (Photoshop). D:

  • Thanks, this was helpful :)

  • hey um at the end where you selected the entire backround how did you do that?

  • I turned up the tolerance on the Magic wand tool, and selected the white area outside the sketch.

  • what did you turn the tolerance to?.... sorry i've never really used the wand befor im still learning i've tryed so many times to color my sketches and they never turn out that good DX

  • thank you so much this was such a big help ^.^

  • great tutorial thx! nice shadow technique.

  • ur sooo good at teaching this stuff! either that or i no nothing about photoshop

  • my background keeps coming out yellow how do i make it white, on background contents i cick white but its still yellow, can someone help me

  • I had this problem with my new monitor, there's color correction issues with the monitors drivers and they're conflicting with Photoshop. You have to go into your settings (assuming you're using Windows) and change your color profile to default or Photoshop's preset.

  • i set tio to default and its still yellow, im isung a color profile titled 2005FPW, how could i change it to photoshop presets?

  • i set tio to default and its still yellow, im isung a color profile titled 2005FPW, how could i change it to photoshop presets?

  • argh plzplzplzplz redo the sound :'( its exactly what i need but I cant hear :'(

  • Sure thing, I'm on vacation now, but as soon as I get back I'll remake this with an even easier method and clearer sound.

  • your awsome :D

  • your video helped a lot. thanks!

  • I'm having some truble with the color, when ever I color it in it dubbles the color untill it's black and I can't get just a flat color. how do I fix that?

  • ok at the end were do you get the eraser at the end to erase the parts you messed up

  • I luff you, run away with me. <3

  • Sorry about the audio, I was using a new Recorder and It didn't pick up the sound very well. For some reason the idea of running the recorder and Audacity at the same time never occurred to me.

  • Thanks a lot, Your video did help. And you are right, it is easy.

  • uhm, why didn't you message them asking if you could color their lineart.

otherwise that's a really shitty thing to do.

  • like the pik great job 5/5 =)
