You said in the description you though he was younger when this was recorded. The entire CD that this was on was recorded September 15, 17, and 17 of 2002, he turned 10 on the 16th, so he was probably 10 years old :)

@njishottlikeatamale yeah but this isn't the version from the cd. this was one of the few first attempts. he was about 8 here. the version on his album, he was a couple of years older. but he and his father wrote this song together when nick was about 6. so this version was recorded anywhere between 1998-2000

@jonasfan32123 I know that it's not the version from his solo album. I have the Broadway CD that this was featured on. He was asked to record a song for the CD while he was in Beauty and the Beast, and he was 9 at the time he was asked. Instead of doing a classic Christmas carol, he wanted to write his own song, so him and his dad came up with this. It was then recorded on the dates I listed in my first comment, in 2002 when he was 9 or 10. He didn't write this song when he was 6.

He was most likely 9 though because you usually have to record the song a while before the CD comes out and it came out in October and his Birthday is in September. So it would make sense that he recorded it a little bit before his birthday.
