  • Simply astounding guitar playing!

  • apparently 6 people can't accept a masterpiece

  • speed master¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡amazing guitar playiing

  • i dont think people fully understand the gift this man has. it reminds me of what i have read about Paganini when he was alive, how people were absolutely astounded at his abilities. People like Yngwie do not come around that often. This music will be the classics people listen to in 100 yrs. also thanks to Jim Marshall and Leo Fender for the tone machines.

  • There's the right way.

    There's the wrong way.

    Then there's the Yngwie.

  • It disgusts me how people can say Malmsteen has no emotion of feel :(

  • i would make a sensible comment, but my mind has exploded.

Thank you and have a nice day.

  • My girlfriend and I seperated today.So I light a cigarette,took a beer and put Malmsteen on.Made me feel a lot better :)

  • its making me cry :(

  • @shredrogi me to ......

  • Who think Yngwie is the best guitarist in the world? (I'm the one that think).

  • that's what I call ''guitar ejaculation''

  • WHAT THE....

  • sex with a guitar

  • slayer & old 'tallica fan here. I still admire and enjoy Malmsteen work and finally some really challenging thing to be played on guitar! Thrash teaches me riffs, Malmsteen teaches me how to solo

  • Yngwie is... :)

  • Full of soul and energy, fuck yeah!

  • He is the LEAST known. Give me a break. He is one of the best but HE AINT POPULAR

  • Malmsteen is probably the best (known) guitarist in the world. This just illustrates his ability to integrate different genres to create something awesome.

  • @MrDissolvist He hasn't integrated anything. These aren't pentatonic progressions.

  • i dont get why people say satriani is better than malmsteen, i dont think so!

  • @fippysteed

No way , yngwie beats the crap out of satches ass

  • @fippysteed Satriani is more versatile. I like Yngwie's style a lot more though. Satriani is too fucking poppy.

  • this song is on Alchemy NOT Trilogy

  • orgasm

  • a man and his fender strat....i like.

I WISH I COULD PLAY MY STRAT LIKE YNGWIE!!!!!

  • For some reason the quality on this video is better than quality on the actual CD

  • amazing guitarist!!!

  • Haven't listened to a Malmsteen piece in a year or two to be honest, and I'm SO glad I chose to listen to this tonight! Absolutely beautiful piece of art. This is coming from a guitarist in a metal band, and I spend most of my listening time with Whitechapel, Cannibal Corpse, Death, Exodus, things like that. It's so nice to get away from the heaviness and enjoy some beautiful work like this,

  • @302GTS Same here...i dont really listen to him much. I also wouldnt call him greatest. I listen to Behemoth, Lamb of God, Enslaved...and it is nice to get away from that...for maybe only an hour or so...I also listen to more hard rock like Clutch, Motorhead, Black River, Viking Skull, Classic rock..Beatles, Zeppelin, Hendrix, Punk..The germs, U.k. subs, misfits, ramones..and blues...Son house, SRV...But mostly the death metal, and black metal. BUT, there is major talent in those genres also...

  • The best guitar player to ever live by my book, I hope to get his signature series!

  • To all the uneducated commenters:

    Coming from a guitar player...

Just as soon as anyone of you can play that well -

You might have something to say.

Otherwise, please be quiet and PRACTICE on your own.

  • @jlsdev right this guy got skills hes has a jimi style with metal and i love how he transformed that

  • @killakid443 Hendrix to me was one of the first to bring strong guitar, and feeling to the "mainstream". You can really hear his influence in many guitarist today. Without him, there may not be guitar sounds like there are today.

  • i cant believe the HATERS!!!!! get off you tube and take your shit in the bathroom stalls where all you lowlifes racists and pigs belong and WRITE AWAY!!!! thats where your filth belongs!! long live yngwie. a huge talent and wonderful musician.

  • Dirty fucking swede.

  • learnin this song on guitar.. holy shittt its complicated, arpeggios, scales and none of them blues roots

  • i see 6 pricks who dislike this song....man do they are retards!

  • insane human with GOD finger .

  • What do you call a group of black people?

  • does Malmsteen have his tremelo floating or stuck to the body of the guitar?

  • yngwie malmsteen= God

  • I love the Rick and Roll ahaha

  • Best ever! Love ya Malmsteen

  • his first name is pronounced ing-vay i had a friend with the same name thats the dutch pronunciation trust me

  • @PopcornSalt13 ingvay thts how you pronounce it loool

  • @PopcornSalt13 It is Pronounced: "Ing-Vey" For the Longest Time I thought it was pronounced like Yawn'e But lol, I was watching some G3 interview and Satriani said that he's here with "Ing-Vey" So lol

  • I am in Indonesia.

    I fans Yngwie Malmsteen.

I like this song and video.

    it's cool song and video.

    I like Yngwie Malmsteen song's.

    LOL

  • you tell em haris

  • @harisbluebiru Don't need to understand words... Just listen to the music...

  • @harisbluebiru dude i have no idea what that last thing you said was..... but right the fuck on bro :D

  • I dnt like how ppl hate on Malmsteen just because he's good... like if those jealous bitches could do better.

  • What an awesome song. Few key changes there... Yngwie the legend.

  • like your discription :D and of course the song

  • malmsteen rules.....yeah..!!!

  • I love the cover art for trilogy

  • Is this song not on itunes?.....

  • yeah, this song rulez, malmsteen rules too, i prefer Steve Vai and John Petrucci, but Malmsteen is cool

  • I must admit ,i love this version...Has any one heard" The genisus" album? Its from bootlegs when he was 17,Theres not much sweep picking,Its raw hammer ons and snapp offs, and just great plecky work...you would not beleive this guitar work comes from a 17 year old...and he sings all the vocals,,,its brilliant,,,make a point of getting it,,,or at least hearing it...Keep on picking...

  • It's called "The Genesis".

  • I prefer the live version. It s more powerful, crazier...

  • yngwie owns. if you're listening to 'slop' get a better feel for time and listen better.

  • Fuckin' awesome...

  • this version is kinda sloppy and he does not really show his best..check out his other one on youtube, same song where he does it in the studio...he also explains the core progressions and that it doesn't have anything to do with blues just sounds bluesy and hence the name blue

  • Sloppy? Are you fuckinig stupid? Tell me where there is one mistake on this.

  • @jojolemonkey sloppy? are you even sane? you obviously dont play guitar

  • malmsteen said

there is no blues progressions in the song at all

but it sounds like there is

there for it is called blue

  • this is an animal of a song lol

  • This is his best song. Fuck yes.

  • malmsteen is the best guitarest ever

  • i cant believe malmsteen has a bodyguard

  • this is fuckin awesome music man

  • awesomeness

  • not in tube screamers but like ppl popping out in the vid screaming.

  • light distortion

  • I'd like to get something together--like a Handel, Bach, Muddy Waters, flamenco type of thing. If I could get that sound, I'd be happy" --Jimi Hendrix

call me crazy but in my opinion this is as close to that sound you can get

  • mlamsteens security guard or body gaurd seems to be a prick especally if you get within 5 ft of malmsteen

  • Well, Prince William's body guards are worse if you ask me... They shoot you if you would touch him...

  • verry nice

  • Awesome! just freaking awesome!

    Malmsteen just ®o©ks!!

  • w00t w00t.1

  • Yngwie Malmsteen, born 30 june 1963 name: Lars Johan Yngve Lannerbäck, is a swedish guitarist. Malmsteen is one of the hardrocks greatest guitarists and have in the 1980 - 1990 inspired very many famous guitarists like: Paul Gilbert, Michael Romeo, Axel Rudi Pell, Alexi Laiho and many more

  • I love the way he plays!

  • do you know where he´s from?

    Yngwie is the best!!

  • i think hes a swede. I am not positive though

  • Comment removed

  • fantastic song, he's right up there with Batio and both should be more popular than the crap that comes out today

  • Nah, I don't think they should become more popular, as you see who the fans of today's popular music are... No thank you.

  • He's using myxolodian right? or is he using other scales?

  • Comment removed

  • Listen to that vibrato.

The vibrato that's also partly from social injustice.

  • i'd say the vibrato could possibly be from scalloping his frets like onions but to each their own.

  • ooo, scientific simplification! let's hear your records.

  • WITH scallops.

  • Just...fucking awesome. He's my god man!

  • ok its official, this song owns and yngwie is a guitar god.

  • Everybody who says that this guy has no feeling is a fucking idiot . Just try to hear his vibrato and his touch this not only shred !

  • at last..someone figured out!!thanks dude..thanks for postin thıs msg..and u know what people often try not to hear but listen from theır sorry ass so they wont be able to hear the feelıng:)

  • falagar82, glad u said it for me. 'blueprint' musicologists are necessary, but the ones who think they're elite just because they 'calculate' music are like male gynocentrists trying to protect the woman they just can't damn well seem to attract.

  • finally somebody who shares my opinion about malmsteen and who 've been able to hear the way he sounds without any prejudice !

  • im so happy that people like you still exist:) and what makes me more happy that even though you r way younger than me but experienced enough to wrıte a comment lıke that one whıch ı lıked ıt very much

  • Hes is the only guitarist now-a-days that i can FEEL when he plays fast or slow.

    He is probably my favorite!

  • don't you hate how people criticize him because they're just jealous? hes great

  • @mascalzonelatino90 I think his vibrato is obnoxious.

  • He didn't say he didn't use blues scales you twat. Jesus. How can you hope to appreciate music like this if you can't even hear a guy speak clearly and plainly? He said blues chord progressions. Comparing Yngwie to any shredder today is like comparing Dr. J to Michael Jordan. Fuckin idiots. The fact that he's relevant is amaziing and speaks for itself.

  • yo guys this album is sick.

  • Wow, This is the best Malsmsteen I think I've ever heard, and I've heard a bit. Kinda reminds me of the scorpions at times. I just wish the very ending was a bit better.

  • check my version of this song =D

  • great wat else

  • If all people get out of this is speed the need to listen closer.

  • how old is this guy

  • Comment removed

  • yeah that really dosent help

  • anyones point of view makes sense in someway, i gotta say, i love Yngwie, and he does have feeling in lots of stuff, even fast stuff like blitzkrieg, this is his thing, what he enjoys playing, reputitious or not, its music, catchy too, he wouldnt have so many fans otherwise, alot knock the guy and everything about him, as ive said before, these cunts r sick, a sickness in the fucking head called jealousy, they need heavy medication, the poor fucks.

  • dude, finally someone who believes that shred can be totally soul-full i hate when people think that just because you play fast that you put no feeling into your music

  • I totally agree with you.. but I have to say Yngwie isn't using alot of dynamics when it comes to speed. He does however play with alot of feeling!

  • Damn He Is goood and he didnt even use any blues scales thats hard to do

  • he does, actually, use a an aweful lot of blues notes, im learning this at the moment and although he claims he uses "no blues progressions", there is a lot of stuff in there that is near enough pentatonic/blues scales.

  • Yeah he's probably using a minor scale, but only using the notes in the minor scale that could be seen as pentatonic.

    You get what I'm saying.

I don't even know if thats right, but thats just my theory.

  • 'AlmostOriginal691

he does, actually, use a an aweful lot of blues notes, im learning this at the moment and although he claims he uses "no blues progressions", there is a lot of stuff in there that is near enough pentatonic/blues scales'

he's talkin bout blues chord progressions.

  • yeah im aware of that but look at the comment im replying to. 'Damn He Is goood and he didnt even use any blues scales thats hard to do' - GJRM18

  • sorry dude, didn't see that lol. that was a silly thing to say. haha

  • haha no worries, its still a fair point to make

  • check my ""cover"" of this song :D its in my profile.. yngwie is amazing

  • i like very much yngwie , but , in the same style , i prefer JOHN NORUM

  • Dios rencarno es Yngwie :P
