i tried making one and found out it will work but first of all not with a ipod or mp3. i put the tin foil on the plate and than put one wire on the side of the plate and the other on the penny in the middle of the plate. it will work but it needs lots of power and the sound is very poor.

Well Everyone listen to me you will need to tape a MAGNET onto the plate then cover it with foil the spin some COIL around a 'C' BATTERY or something round with at least 4 'IN' left straight then sand the ends of the COIL 'NOT A PENNY' then tape it to the FOIL then wire the speaker cable to the coil and plug it in AND IT WORKS!!

you can actually can make speaker with piece of medal.. some crapass headphones has piece of aluminum or something as speaker..

hell you can make even a 100W lamp a speaker.. allthou it isnt loud at all and flashes.. with enought power you can make nearly any piece of low resistive metal make sound but it isnt very hi def.. this will break you amplifier sooner or later but it is possible.

if you got 100W lamp and 300W amplifier plug it in and try yourself.
