But i confess i have some doubts about it... i'm a manual trans fan.

@VanTheManSLB well i cant say ive had any problems with it, the shifting is very smooth and i think it performs well both in the city and when your driving on country roads giving it the beans. Even if i have any problems with it im not bothered because i have a warantee that covers the car for the four year finance deal i have with volkswagen, and then if i keep the car i can take on an additional warantee plan with vw for up to 60k miles for as little as 120 pounds a year

@VanTheManSLB i think its more fun because it can shift up and down quicker and smoother than a manual and the exhaust makes a delightful little pop when you shift up at high revs. the mpg is also more in the dsg and i think you get the both of best worlds

Prefer the upcoming Golf MK6 R20 with 270hp and AWD eben though there will be a Scirocco R with 265hp but no AWD
