  • Me: FINALLY HERE!

Midna: We have to gather all the mirror shards:

    Me: FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!

  • GUYS if u never played ww than u wouldn't know that this takes centuries after oot those arnt the same sages!

  • "Only the true leader of the Twili can utterly destroy the mirror of Twilight"

Me: *Looks at Midna* Don't get any ideas >:(

  • "He was blind..."

I knew it! He was legally blind!

"In all his fury and might, he was blind to any danger..."

    Oh.

  • @Revelex20 You can think what you wish. I don't believe that and its NOT what nintendo said but what you misinterpreted from the game. Get your facts straight. Nintendo has said almost NOTHING.

For the record Impa said that she'd see them in another time because she was the old lady. It doesn't mean anything else. Its like Link, Zelda, and so many other random countless characters in the Zelda series. They're all being named the same in different games doesn't mean a thing.

  • I don't believe in much of a timeline split at all. The theory is crap. If you've played through skyward sword then its obvious this is second in the timeline. Ganondorf looks just like Demise and even has his characteristics. People just assume OoT was second because that ganondorf also came from the desert. All I know is that SS and TP have similar locations. Faron Woods for example. Plus the use of portals. If anything OoT is third.

  • 2:45 - 2:55 Those events must of taken place in another Zelda game. Hopefully, the one that's being made for the Wii-U.

  • 3:58 Dat Laugh

  • The reason why Gerudo Guards arn't in Twilight princess because Ganondorf went to the Gerudo fortress and killed them all and ruined the fortress. And this was because he wanted revenge on Nabooru for betraying him and all the other Guards for betraying him.

  • @ZeldaCrazy123 are you sure about it? where did you get that info?

  • @manjarathe some Zelda website i randomly found.. probaly not true but i dont know.

  • @ZeldaCrazy123 You know, that actually, in a twisted way, makes a whole lot of sense.

  • Detached hands and face...ok thats creepy...

  • Why did Ruto have to die D:

  • @BrickOfDarkness I was just wondering about that!!! I wonder if there's any significance to the fact that it was her... Gaaah so interesting

  • @BrickOfDarkness It wasn't Ruto, because in this timeline she never became a Sage.

  • @stavrosmike Riiight, I forgot which timeline split this was on.

  • so ganon reached the triforce

  • I'm probably suffering from a huge memory lapse or I'm over thinking this. I enjoy the parallel timeline idea and is why Ganondorf possession of a Triforce Part in this game doesn't seem right. Him being captured and almost killed by the Sages also looks wrong if he managed to have the Triforce of Power. In OoT he probably slaughtered the old Sages except for Rauru, explaining the need for new Sages. This are probably the original ones, and they probably look like this outside the Sacred realm.

  • Unless I forgot something vital, I don't recall Ganondorf being attributed ownership of any Triforce part in TP. Link from OoT kept the crest on his hand even after being sent to the past at the end. According to Wind Waker he gave up his part before leaving, makes sense or there would've been 2 Triforce of Courage in the past. The Sages said Ganondorf "was blessed with the chosen power of the gods" I don't see how stealing the Triforce could be described as a "blessing" or a "divine prank".

  • @neophenom It's because the gods chose to give him the power in this story. The gods obviously don't discriminate on who gets the power, but there is always a balance. That balance is upheld by the other two triforce pieces. So although someone of evil intent got the triforce of power, two others of noble intent got the other two pieces. Weird? Yes....but to me it makes the most sense in all versions of the awesome folk tale made by Shigeru.

  • I've always thought in OoT, Zelda sent Link to the past, to when they first met. This explains why in Majoras Mask his memory of acquiring of the Ocarina is different. The scene in this video looked like Ganondorfs failed attempt to acquire the Triforce, due to Zelda giving Link the Ocarina and him leaving. Ganondorf probably tried anyway successfully destroying the castle and ruining the Temple of Time, but unable to bypass the Master Sword, he was captured and suffered the fate shown here.

  • I have no issues with the parallel timeline. I have no problems with TP following Child Link timeline, while WW follows Adult timeline. I do have an issue with the suggestion that Ganondorf has possession of the Triforce of Power in this game. Is this ever said explicitly in the game? The Goddesses crest is a mark for those chosen by them, thus wielding great power. It doesn't always imply possession a Triforce Part, as seen in Zelda II and OoS/OoA.

  • No no no! its the same OoT link!

I will tell you all how this all connects - Link is returned to a child by Zelda, in OoT - he warns Zelda - and eventually, she gives him the Ocarina of time... Again - link sets off to find navi in MM and years later after MM, Link is grown up, this is when twilight princess takes place; Link is asked if he's ever been to hyrule at begging of game - and link gives a smirk. And he knows about the master sword, when he pulls it out he swings it around - rembering

  • @TrueZelda No no. The OoT Link settled down with Maron (hence the fact that this new Link a rancher) years after Majora's Mask and when he got older he wanted to look one last time for Navi and ran retardedly into The Lost Woods and became a Stalfos and became the Hero's Shade. Doesn't he end all his shit like "Go, my son"? This Link is a descendent of the Hero of Time. I mean the Links are the only niggas that are left-handed.

  • @MSunflower1991 i know your probably right, its just I want to play Twilight princess, and I just wish i could be the same OoT link :(. I just like, sorta block out whats right because i want the story to connect, like it is the same link in my mind. I even wish the Skyward sword link was the same Oot link. :(. but why is the horse in Oot , MM, and TP always look the same - and called Epona?

  • @MSunflower1991 Too bad they had to change Link to be a right-handed fellow on the Wii due to the controller mechanics. I was a bit bummed out as I happen to be a lefty. Oh and the favoring of the Left or Right hand is not an hereditary trait, at least not in the real world. By the way "Link" is German for left, also the current President, Barack Obama, is left-handed. That was just random info :P

  • i'd like to think that the six sages are the same sages from ocarina of time, i wish i knew connections as to link( from ocarina of time and majora's mask) came to link(hero of wind) then link( of this game).

  • You all use the shield? You are not zelda player!!!

  • Also its confusing cuz if these are the sages from OoT, the first sage, (at 2:15) is ruaru then rht? he is way to skinny XD

  • @matikucami yep. dat Rauru all right! X)

  • So the sages now should be the same, do you guys get what im saying?

  • should be here cuz they had died off and became ghosts too. The sages would not be different in this game than OoT for that reason. Like i said the sages are chosen before birth, resulting in no matter what happens ruto and saria and them will always be sages. It does make sense that maybe the sages had a blood line like the links and zeldas, so why do they all look wierd? It is unknown. In WW the windowns in the castle where the sword is shows the sages, so they are still remembered then.

  • ok someone respond to this so i can be clear. If people say these sages arent the same as saria and ruto and all of them, i think they are because the sages are chosen, like link is, they dont always know it, but as gannon says alot, they are being played by the gods, and so if link was asleep for 7 years, the sages had realized they were sages, but were captured. So in 7 years childhood timeline, the sages would be notified and would assume duty, these sages in TP are ghosts, so the Oot sages

  • you are forgetting something.. at the end of wind waker, Link and Tetra go in search of the new Hyrule and this explains of the 2 Hidden Skills: the Back Slice and the Helm Splitter, besides TP is a history from to many years later from wind waker. Hope you understand (i speak spanish xD)

  • Damn, sucked to be the Water Sage, didn't it?

It don't matter if that was Ruto or not, you get punched through the gut, you dead. :p

  • ok wat the hell is with the crapy sages i like the ones in ocrania of time much better ! they suck in this game

  • Poor Ruto :'(

  • How do people know that's the water sage? I didn't play OoT

  • The symbol on the pedestal, by the looks of it. It appears to be the same one that was on the water medallion in OoT.

  • Maybe those aren't the sages but their spirit that could reborn on a different hyrule citizen. AND th deaths in the game are connected; the sage killed by ganondorf came from the zora tribe whose queen also died...

  • Notice they said "chosen power of the GODS" not goddesses

  • Poor Sage of Water T_T

  • Yeah, Ruto was my favourite. I enjoyed killing ganondorf at the end

  • ...so is one of them saria? sorry i just can't stop obsessing over that

  • chevere

  • Also..."some divine prank?" I think that Din really did choose Ganondorf for some great, noble purpose - why would she constantly bring him back to life otherwise? But he's just too caught up in his own power trip to realize it.

    ...Poor Sage of Water. :(

  • She probely did choose him cause good an evil dont mean much tbh those who earn power deserve it

but she doesnt bring him back to life his own power of sorcery and the pure power of the triforce alows him to bring himself back

  • ...It went right over my head, up to this point that Ganondorf would show up in the game at all.

So when the sage said, "His name is..." I said, "Zant."

    "Ganondorf."

My heart about stopped. Okay, so I'm naive. :D

  • @AniRemi There's a term for this. It's called "Hijacked by Ganon".

  • Comment removed

  • @AniRemi Me too XD

  • I wish the sages had kept their original designs. The way they look now sorta kills it. ^^;

  • I thought that I was the only one that thought that! Thank you! Even though, if they had, Princess Ruto would've gotten killed and that probably woud've upset a lot of people...I don't know, maybe!

  • according to official Zelda chronology, this game is an alternate reality of Wind Waker. This game continues from the Hyrule that Link returned to at the end of OoT. Wind Waker continues from the Hyrule that he left behind. Therefore, in this game's timeline, the OoT sages never came to be. The descendants of Ruto and Saria would technically exist in the Wind Waker universe, but since you only meet the sages of Wind and Earth in that game, you never see Saria and Ruto's direct descendants.

  • That does make sense but then again there are a lot of parts that don't add up. For example, why is Link Ordonian instead of hylian, or is it that he still is in the fact that Ordon is a province of Hyrule. If the Zoras and Gorons were still there, what happened to the Kokiri and the Gerudo, not to mention, Impa couldn't have died that soon if this was a continuation of OoT, yet Impaz shows up as the descendant of Impa. I have heard that the Gerudo may have been wiped out but in that case...

  • If the Gerudo were wiped out, where did Telma come from because she is by far the closest person (obviously besides Ganondorf) who looks like a Gerudo. I'm sorry this is all very confusing to me, especially since it's supposed to be both an alternate realtiy and a continuation of two games.

  • That makes sense, but I thought this game was the direct sequel of the Hyrule that Link disappeared from at the end of OoT. Otherwise, Ganondorf wouldn't have been locked away and also wouldn't have obtained the Triforce of power by Link's gathering the three stones at the temple of time.

  • @Sunrikaiya I guess they didn't live forever? Maybe they put a uniform policy in place? Or maybe these were just the human representatives of those sages. I couldn't see Ganon having that easy of a time with Darunia, Impa, and Nabooru.

  • I don't understand how these sages could be the same sages from OoT, and at the same time, I don't understand how they could be different either.

  • maybe cause its NOT the same sages...

  • ive only played 3 Zeldas and this is as far as ive gotten in the game but whats with all u ppl. omg its connected to this timeline omg its in between this timeling blah blah blah! they made this game 4 new players so that if they hadnt played the old games it doesnt matter b/c its like a completely different Link. even if it is connected to other Zelda games no one cares b/c it doesnt have to be!

  • In my opinion, this cutscene is so much better if it's night, with sunlight it doesn't give the " mysterious feeling "

  • it's an absrtact concept, it'd believed that the second adult timeline still exists, just no Link, hence in WW when they say there was no hero to stop Ganondorf from breaking his seal. Then you have the timeline where Ganondorf was never allowed because the King was told of him before, if you read into further depth, it makes a lot of sense.

  • His name is...

    ...Ganondorf.

  • Well, the biggest theory states that after OoT, link broke into two timelines, One where he became an adult and OoT happened, createin that universe, the adult timeline, and one where young link warned the kind and Ganondorf never obtained the triforce, the adult timeline. TP is said to take place about 100 years after Oot in the adult timeline.

  • That timeline isn't really accurate. At the end of the game, you "regain your lost years".

  • Timeline wise, TP has a fitting point somewhere either before or after Link to the past. Geographic map locations and all attest to this perfectly! But its DEFFINATELY after OoT and MM. Trying to figure out if its in the new Hyrule after WW or sometime before...

  • o.0 hey killed the water sage. Ruto would be pissed

  • i thought ruto was the water sage :'(!

  • Well, but if timeline serves well, the sages weren't awakened yet XD

  • wow the sages are kool in this game (there masks and hands ))

  • it's very iconic this scene, i mean wouldnt nintendo not put an execution in a game?

  • listen to this; for the guys who loved majora's mask and played the anyu qeust, look at the heads of the sages (not the mask but the heads) they are the same as sakons head. would it be coincidence? or would he have some mysterious relation with the gods? it wouldnt suprise me though. MM whas one of the most dark and illuminatic games i played. even if it had his happy times. if you played the kafei and anyu qeust you feel what they feel. real love. even if its a game. its a little bit more.

  • There's a passing resemblence to Sakon, but nothing more.

  • Those sages remind me of the Luminoth from Metroid Prime: 2 Echoes.

  • i love ganondorfs sword...its totally cool! he's all like evil and dark, but his sword is white and shiny, its just the contrast factor which is cool and the sword itself too is awesom

  • how do u record playing games on the nintendo wii is there a software

  • I know the Sages are supposed to be wise and mighty, but sometimes they get too cocky about the good-always-winning thing and disregard the power of evil. This is how they subestimated Ganondorf's power and how the Water Sage was killed. The Sages are to blame.

  • It looks like they didn't know that Ganondorf had the triforce of power. According to the split timeline theory, he wouldn't have had the triforce of power, so I don't think the sages would have been as worried. But apparently he did receive it somehow, as the sages said "by some divine prank, he, too, had been blessed with the chosen power of the gods." I take that as they he didn't have any power before then, or if he did, they didn't know.

  • My favorite cutscene of the game !

It proves one important thing : the Triforce of Power gives immortality to his keeper.

And he killed the sage of water, not light.

  • how can you tell

  • I'm insightful. =)

  • they are all the same how can you know its the sage of water?

  • Look symbols on the poats. They are the same in OOT.

  • wow good attention to detail

  • Thanks.

  • Thanks

  • Ganondorf killed the Sage of light, but was that Rauru? Anyway, does anyone know in wich timelie TP is set?

  • My theory is Hyrule A

  • I thought so too but there are hints in the game that it takes place before a Link to the Past. Like the master sword. its hidden deep in the holy forest just like in aLttP. But at the begining of aLttP the story was mentioned how the sages locked ganon in the sacred realm. So aLttP must take place in Hyrule. Ya know what i mean?

  • I think it takes place right after a link to the past. After defeating Ganondorf, the sages try to execute him with that sword, leaving a white wound on his belly. THis is the only game where he has the wound ans *SPOILERS* when Link stabs Ganondorf, that kills him (not deafeats, kills). So in the next game, it's an Oracle game, where Ganondorf is being resurrected.

  • Is it link that kills Ganondorf in this game? I know that when playing you definitely almost kill him, but it's Zant's neck breaking that actually stops Ganondorf.

  • Maybe, but point is he's dead

  • or is he....!

  • he is. the triforce left him (that has never happend in any LOZ) he cant survive he only got the triforce in tp by fluke

  • Ganondorf killed only one of the sages of light not the sge of light but i don't know timeline sorry

  • zelda wiki says its the water sage he killed, but im not trying to argue or anything.

  • Mhm. Besides, if you compare the Sage's symbol to the medallions from OoT, the Water Sage's is the only one that matches up.

  • very true. Poor Ruto :(

  • Its not Ruto. Its the original sage of Water. My theory is in OoT Ganondorf killed all the original spirits except Ruaru. These are the sages that survived becuase Ganondorf never knew them as a threat on the Child Timeline. Therefore only Rauru is the same sage you knew in Ocarina of Time but the rest aren't.

  • Oh okay, that makes sense. So you are saying that Twilight Princess takes place on the timeline of when Link returns back to his child self and warns child Zelda?

  • this timeline is along time after Ocarina of time...like, after OoT link grew up normally, then died

  • Yep its in Hyrule A or the Child Timeline.

  • tp takes place rigt after oot in between oot and majora ganon got the trifoce in tp due to a fluke in time the sages weret carefull enough

  • That wouldn't make sense. The Link in TP is not the Link that we saw in OOT and Majora's Mask. It takes place in the future after Link from OOT and Marjora has grown up and died. Remember that the Temple of Time is in ruins in the middle of a forest, which it wasn't at the end of OOT. I'm assuming the original Hyrule Castle had been destroyed, or moved, throughout the years. And the Temple of Time was left alone as the forest grew up around it. But that's all just a guess.

  • he killed the Water sage

  • see even in the older games they mention that theres other lands, hyrule is just some isolated enchanted land that ganons tribe stumbled upon. they need to make a bigger environment for dis game

  • lol Ganondorf sounds funny in this part

  • or you could just cut off his head and call it a day

  • why did u make a vid of this?

  • i alredy saw this but now i know where he got that cut on his belly when hes ganon......

  • wow. The whole story of this game (and the others) should be great tale for your grandchildren.

  • wat the fucking crap!!!
