Massive investment by the state in research and development brought technologies to the point where they were commercially viable products and then they were handed over to the private sector. @youngbuck189 My proposal doesn't matter since the government is going to continue to implement regulations that won't do a thing but increase the cost of government; which ends up costing tax payers more money. But to answer your question, I'm for de-regulating because regulations are derived from laws, and those laws need to be enforced rather than expanding regulation that, history proves, solves nothing (example: Bernie Madoff).

@Unkn0wnGuy History shows that regulation does work if its GOOD regulation. For example,Glass–Steagall Act was regulation that helped stop rampant speculation in investments. Another good example is public financing of elections that other countries use to stop corporate influence in politics.
There are no laws currently that say Corporations cannot influence politics. In fact, two supreme court rulings affirmed that Corporations are people. So we clearly need to change the laws.
