This game is superior to Metro and It does have an amazing plot. It is just very underrated. STALKER is the best post nuclear war game.

@GiveMeBass93 Different games, Metro is MUCH more linear whilst stalker has a much more free roam attitude to it. I've played both and whilst Metro was a much better plot Stalker has huge replayability that Metro does not.

Over 1000 troops were sent into the Zone, most of them ex-Spetsnaz and Special Forces. Dozens of tanks, armored vehicles, helicopters accompanied them. Only a handful of babbling, insane soldiers ever returned.

Therefore, I wouldn't send Rangers, Marines or anyone else for that matter, into that place.

Its hard to tell what the issue is, but the best advice is to make sure you have the correct patch installed 1.4 i belive. and then ensure that you extract all the files into the correct directory.

yea the current mod i use in this video is ABC Inferno mod this lets you join any group and adds a few extra weapons however it is for 1.4 only.

I've bought original game only for this mod. and when the "horror time" start's you can hear a scream. When I heard it I've screaming over 10 sec. It is great!! and this vid is good too. Bardzo fajny mod bo praktycznie całkowicie zmienia grę. dodaje sporo opcji niedostępnych w podstawowej wersji.

How do you start mods?

usually mods come with a readme instruction which explains all the things you need to do to install it. for this mod you need Stalker pathed to 1.0003 i belive once you install the mod it should run when the game is run unless it has a seperate executable file.
