@jas0np0nt well yeah the muppets began in the 70's man. rowlf and kermit even earlier. muppet babies came out early 80's.

@gaarasuri no actually they started in the late 50s/early 60s. Rowlf made his debut on the Jimmy Dean show in 1963, and Sesame Street started in 1969. Kermit was an original character on that show. But yeah, the Muppets themselves didn't become really popular until the Muppet Show in 1975.

I love this song! I wish they made such wonderful TV shows like this anymore. This show is (very sadly) about 10 years before my childhood, but if ONLY they such meaningful shows in my day. I envy those who grew up on these.

How old are you? I'm almost 21, so I was almost 2 when Muppet Babies went off the air in December 1990. I wish I was old enough to watch it in the original run but at least I was born during the original run. I really wish kids shows were still good and meaningful like they were back in the 80s. also lol I always love the noise Gonzo's nose makes when it gets squished (at 1:20)

I use to watch this with my baby sis. Matter of fact. She record over my Empire Strikes Back VHS tape with the Muppet Babies....I could have killed her, but the toon made her happy so I got over it. And after awhile, I couldn't fall alseep without the tape on...true story.
