  • rhythm overload but very awesome to be able to coordinate and project on a drumkit like this.i guess that comes with a lot of practise and some talent.

  • Can u explain the fill at 1:50?.

  • @ricardoieci - yeah... I'll post something in the next day or two!

  • @haskitt Your preset doesn't work with my superior drummer. What I'm doing wrong? I have N-Y Avatar Metal Foundry and stuff like that

  • @Kornhulio18 - do you have the Joe Barresi Evil Drums SDX? The preset is based on that library.

  • YOU ARE AWESOME DUDE!

  • wow. really, really cool. great

  • Some of the medleys are accurate and some are waaaaaay off...

  • solid drumming, but a pretty shitty medley. just throw random shit around, call it a song..

  • what do you use to remove the drum track from the song? Do you just EQ it out or is there some software you use? BTW, you sir have tremendous talent

  • @swgeorge The track's volume is low and I'm sure they're EQ'ed out a bit.

  • BAD ASS!!! Nice work on the mixing of the songs. One long awesome tool medley/drum cover. I'm showing this to my friends for sure!

  • @haskitt what did you use to mix together the medley? How long did it take? Simply awesome man - nice job.

  • what is that first song?

  • really impressive!

  • this is unbelievably good mate! Keep up the marvellous work

  • you sir need to makin a shitload of money, that was the absolute best tool playing iv seen second only to the man himself.

  • are you going to reply where do i put the snare sample you have given

  • @williamssally - Hey, sorry... I've been busy getting married. :) Anyhow, the snare drum preset uses some different libraries (music city sdx and barresi evil drums). Depending on which ones you have installed and authorized it might not work for you... sorry bout that.

  • how are we ment to use the sample of the snare with superior drummer as it doesnt recognise it or am i missing something

  • i think evryone should take there hats off to you . you are extreamly good. could i ask you would it be possible for you to send me the preset you used for the kit it sounds awsum keep up the good work you are an inspiration

  • That was absolutely awesome to watch. So tight and such seamless transitions throughout the medley. I would have enjoyed hearing more Rosetta Stoned without The Pot mixed in, but kick ass nonetheless. I would love to see you play the Grudge, because I think you would do it justice. The end of that song is one of my favorite moments in drumming. Rock on man.

  • I had a feeling 46&2 and The Grudge would be on here, but The Grudge isn't. That also had an awesome drum solo at the end.

  • From the side view you sorta look like Matt Stone (Co-creator of Southpark)...lol. Anyway, this vid was amazing. \m/ \m/

  • I meant how do you have them goin into your pc or audio interface???

  • Nice covers!!! How do you have your Roland Td-4 and Td-3 module hooked together??? And do you have them goin into your pc or audio interface???

  • sup danny...

  • WHO DISLIKED THIS?!?!

  • This medley is sooo pro. Awesome job

  • Any of you guys criticising? Lets see you guys pull this stuff off . I am a Juliard grad and happen to love this guy's playing. HAHAHAHAH cmon now. Fatter kick? Mix? What are you guys playing Skynard?

  • So. Much. Tool.

  • Where you stationed out of anyway?

  • @immobile2005 - West Haven, CT... I do a lot of teaching around Philly.

  • 0 dislikes, well played sir

  • So sick.

  • Wow. Just wow.

  • Very great drumming =)

  • 3:40 onwards dislodged a couple of my teeth.

  • very nice man. Tool was and is one of my favorite bands, seen them many times. The process of learning to play their music defined and shaped me as a drummer many years later. Talk about a voyage

Got mad respect for you, Ive never been able to get used to or comfy on electronic sets.

  • Holy Danny Carey. How long have you been playing for?!?

  • And I thought my Tool addiction was over. Time to go listen to all their albums again.

  • Oh god...You make me feel so inadequate ;_;

  • love it!

  • amazing dude

  • Awesome work dude!

  • I usually hate guys who play electric kits, but this was down right awesome!

  • no shit.....impressive

  • AWESOME!!!!!

  • Great concept man...very unique editing.

  • the way you played stinkfist made me cringe..ughhhhhhhhhhh

  • @Kozlen - The part I played or the sticking?

  • Awesome playing Scott!!!! Very impressive!!!!

What snare from that Evil Drums library are you using for this?

  • @D20band - The snare is actually the only piece I didn't use from Barresi - I used one from Music City, I believe. I wanted a snares off sound, and that's one thing that barresi doesn't have. Thanks for the compliments!

  • This was great man. Very impressive playing.

  • Great work, man, you really got it!! :D why nothing from The Grudge?? :) Can you send me the medley you prepared, it's really cool, I'D LOVE to play along with it!!

    CYA

  • @KillerDrummer88 - Thanks! I thought of using a ton of other songs, but they had to all fit together nicely. I actually want to do a medley of just the really old stuff sometime. Yes, I can get you the medley - I have to find the file - there are a couple versions that I tried out before settling on this one. I'll post a link sometime today and let you know.

  • @haskitt thank you so much! I'm really interested in it :) cya

  • @KillerDrummer88 - No problem! I just put it up... the link is in the video notes - I also posted the s20 preset. Cheers.

  • My friend, this is something very special. I myself am pretty active in the drum cover youtube community, and to see something like this is not only a rare find, but an extremely well played, thought out, and produced project. Bravo. I must also thank you for your future breed machine cover, I have been waiting for someone to nail it so I can properly learn certain parts so that I may do a proper cover myself. Once again, very well done. I have subscribed and I look forward to more.

  • @handsomeandro - Thanks! Sometime I might actually break down some of the FBM parts in a video. It was a real project figuring out the 2nd part in the song in particular. Glad you enjoyed it!

  • glad im not the only one who had trouble with that thing.

i think figured the sticking and that the inner loop is 17/16, but its ridiculously difficult to figure at first because of the high tempo and off beat snare (correct me if im wrong though!)

  • @thepactissealed - Which part are you talking about? I don't recall thinking in 17 for any of it... but I could be wrong.

  • @haskitt that last comment of mine should have been a reply to you... obviously

  • excellent!!

  • loved everything

  • dude you're so fucking awesome keep up the good work!

  • pretty good, although i'm not sure i like the sound of the bass. it cuts too much, especially on doubles like in Jambi. that was where i really didn't like the sound of the bass. but good job anyway!

  • @MrSlymonkey - Agreed that it could have been a fatter kick with less of a point on it... since I'm playing along with the actual drums in the songs, that tended to mud up the mix to have that kind of kick, so I went for something that cuts a little more. Thanks for the compliments!

  • you sir ROCK...keep it up man...

  • Great Time and technique!!!! And also cool Drumsoundcompilation!

  • Fucking badass!! That transition between Rosetta Stoned and Hooker With A Penis was powerful enough to bring someone out of cardiac arrest. Good work.

  • AMAZING!!!

  • Which preset is that? amazing stuff man,......

  • Good stuff man!

  • @friend00f0p Thanks! Remember that I'm not using the sounds from the modules. Sending midi to the computer to trigger Toontrack Superior 2.2 - Barresi SDX on this video and mostly Avatar on soul burn. The TD-9 is WAY ahead of the TD-4 though... I wish I'd bought that over the TD-4. Either way I think you'll enjoy it immensely!

  • Excellent. Great sound & mix and skillful playing.

  • i wish i could play like that :(

  • Master.. I bow to you ='D

  • DUDE!!

  • awesome :D

  • scott you are sooooo amazing... insane drummer, and musician, and composer. post more vids soon!

  • You are awesome!

  • That was well put together, Rosetta stoned section was excellent, so glad you had that in your medley, great work!!

  • Excellent work.!

  • nice job!, and mix too

  • Slick licks my friend! Tools drummer is just amazing, I'd like to see you live, your very good. People just don't realize how much work, effort & pain goes into this.

    Your awesome!!!

  • Could you give us the preset please?... or maybe guve a guide about getting good and realistic sound like the one you got?... thx

  • freakin' awesome

  • so sick. ur amazing, haha.

  • That was amazing and with so much energy! Loved it!!!

And great job on the drum preset and editing all those tracks together so seamlessly.

  • ey man, pass me the preset! sound great!

  • I'm pretty sure you just played most of my favorite Danny Carey drum parts.

...so I'm pretty sure you're awesome.

  • Very nice Scotty, dig the sideburns...

  • Amazing

  • VERY nice..

  • Nice work. Are you playing along to the actual songs or did you find a version with the drums removed?

  • @cocomojo This is along with the actual songs.

  • Awesome work man.... seein u after a long time.

  • wow! Good job and sound!
