@jmr1068204 - The water is a Venturi cooling system for the exhaust gasses. Raw water is pumped in through little jets and as you can see in the video... you can put your hands in the exhaust with the engine running. It also looks very cool with the water vapor blasting out of them in the running shots.

Could hear the screws surging as they left the water. Throttle control must be hard with gas turbines to prevent damage to the gearbox and or over-revving.  You have to be very fast on the throttle to stop shaft surge and bog down.

That boat is like a Barbie / Ken boat compared to mine ... I have a 72' British narrow boat with, OK only one engine but its a Rolls Royce Olympus 593 Mrk610 turbojet engine on the roof. Maximum thrust produced 38,050 lbs (170 KN) (with afterburner reheat in operation). Beat THAT buddy .... I'll line up with you at dawn any day!
