OK pal, watch any video of this guy go. He was in his 80s with some of the fastest, loosest hands in the WORLD. His hand independence was something most drum set players can only dream of. He could produce more sound playing half volume than most drum set players (like your liquid dream) punishing their sets...

Jim Chapin was crazy (just watch the full VHS if u don't believe me), but that man's hands and feet were a Godsend.

I met Jim in a nursing home here in Fort Myers this week, telling a story about Marilyn Monroe while he was in Physical Therapy. I think he will not be able to return to this level, but reading about him at the facility and seeing his work here really makes you wonder about all the great folks and the great stories that are locked inside their bodies from injury and strokes. Wow, he played with Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, and Ella Fitzgerald. Living history........
