  • From the way he plays it , i know he is from Casamance, ...The style , voice , melody ,!!!He even remind me of the late legend :Lalo Keba Drammé.....

  • How do you tune a 21 string Kora? Lankadia, I'm so happy you got some music on you tube!

  • @davidsonko What destiny?

  • the Son Jarocho from the Carribean state of Veracruz Mexico has strong influence to this music style Kora that part of Mexico had a lot of West African slaves . just look up Son Jarocho or La Bamba and you will see what i mean .

  • @oaklandlatinosunited Yes indeed, a lot of people don't know that La Bamba was an African slave song.

  • By far among all the Kora Players I have listen too thus far: from Senegal, Mali, Burkina, the Gambia and Guinea by far Lankandia is the most authentic and traditional – he does it the right way - the voice, the hum, the tone etc…. The tradition is right on the money - the Real Mandingo Nobles, The Traditionalist, The King of Gabu The “Honorable KING KELEFA” and his entourage would be very proud indeed. .
