  • I LOVE the intro :D

  • @pokemonelevator Haha thanks. It's one of my favorites, too.

  • Diskette box = nostalgia. This is the computer I grew up with. I started programing & designing a game. Then I discovered poetry & lost all interest in technology, lol, maybe I'd be a well-paid software designer today instead of a penniless writer :P

  • thnx !

  • You stole AtariLeaf's theme song!

  • Also, you can find a mass of information about the entire Space Quest series, as well as a couple fan-made games, if you google "Roger Wilco's Virtual Broomcloset"

  • You have to type commands. I used to play a lot with Sierra AGI.

  • I actually sold this computer at Radio Shack Christmas 1986. At that time, just the computer sold for $1000 and I think you could use an IBM monitor with it with a special cord possibly, been a while and I forget exactly. With the monitor and printer and all the cables it rang up at around $2000 USD. I know this for sure from looking up my first tandy paycheck, wherein I received a commission for selling a full setup with dot matrix printer and all the necessary cords.

  • i have one of those but i lost the bootdisk and the floppy is dead

  • @thecooldude9999 and now its shorted out...

  • nice editing

  • Here is a walkthrough for spacequest:

h t t p://w w w.wiw. o r g/~jess/sq1.h t m l. Close up the spaces and remove the period at the end of html, since youtube does not want links.

  • I've not used or owned a Tandy 1000, but I've seen videos of them on YouTube, the thing that impresses me about these machines is the additional sound and video capabilities, do any of your games take advantage of of the additional sound hardware? In some games I've heard samples of, the sounds and music remind me so much of the Sega Master System or NEC Turbografx video game system, that said I think the T1000's can produce more realistic music than the Master System.

  • @Lachlant1984 Yes, the games do produce very good sound, however in this video i was not able to record them because I had no way of doing so.

The speaker has a headphone output and volume control as well.

  • @thyssenelevator95 If you had a cable you could have plugged the headphone jack directly into your zi8's mic jack.

  • @buddybuddy0920 But that would have meant syncing the Zi8's audio to the video, which would have been too difficult.

  • @thyssenelevator95 You have a point there. Great video otherwise.

  • @Lachlant1984 You should really try to find a Tandy 1000 TX or a TL. They are great vintage DOS computers for playing games from around 1984-1990.

  • Happy 3'rd anniversary!

  • @georgef551 Thanks!

  • nice
