this is a great OVA, but if you want to know more about the story and get an ending that feels complete you need to read the manga.

It's a very good OVA, deep and very touching, also one of the few very good dubs that anime got back in the day.

She could accomplish that... Problem is she's a doormat that's all... well that stemming from her inability to assert herself which comes from excess shyness or withdrawal (as later might be pointed out in the series of "OVA") stemming from lack of confidence bred from low self esteem complex renewed by beating herself up - okay.. that's not that hard to get over... just... needa take a leap and get him tied/tripped up in that little gymnastics ribbon.

Yeah, that'll work too. I had a small bit of sympathy for him when towards the end of the series, but that was gone thanks to his attitude. The character annoys me. I never got a chance to read the manga and don't think I will even pursue it any longer but meh.

I pursue it for anything that's missing plus closure, and even though the anime's really good the comic disappointed me (mainly because the illustration) but that only makes the anime better now, doesn't it, and isn't that rare enough the anime is better than the manga. I don't know if the scans are on mangafox but I know they're on mangadownload, you have to create an account though and that I found pleasantly quick. Woohoo! All the stuff I can waste precious time reading!

Yep, it's true that it's super rare for an anime version to be better than the manga version. It happens though. Just like the feeling I get when someone makes a movie based on one of my favorite video game franchises, it'll often have less than anything to do with the actual game. Prime example: Uwe Boll (whom fails horribly since he isn't even a gamer and doesn't play the games of the films he adapts)

I really really love this anime. But the funny thing is, that it has such a serius touch all over it, I think, but the manga is so hillarious, mostly ^^'

And I guess the dubbs are fairly good, but Alice's voice does not suit her at all.
