I missed this one - at the time of that storm I'd just arrived in Cornwall. My mum told me how bad it was in Rye and about hailstone damage but knowing she don't like storms I presumed exaggeration of events. Brilliant footage - that sky from 50 seconds in gives me the serious fear - I'm glad I wasn't here!
This is exactly the reason why I love living in Kent. The thunderstorms you get during the summer months are the best, especially Spanish Plume ones like this which are huge and last for hours. I remember this storm, and I live on the other side of the county.
