thanks, i feel the same way. yesterday i got a virus and after it was deleted, my palm desktop stopped SAVING any information. i can use my handheld but not the desktop. any thoughts on what i can do? i can't find help for it anywhere.
My palm Vii my first pda (got it at a garage sale for 5 bucks!) works despite the fact that it fell my bureau and stayed there for a month, had batteries explode in it, has been dropped from my loft beed numerous times, and i have taken it apart! And yet it still works while my dell axim after replacing the screen, once more it broke after falling from my desk onto my wooden chair shatttering the glass touch screen (why the hell is that glass anyways!)
Palm was SO far ahead of their time. If HP was still the R&D powerhouse that they were, they'd revitalize it, but now they just play catchup and want to be Dell. The Plms and Graffitti were soo far advaced, even now 12 years later, still fix and use my Palm T3 instead of icrap. After being teased about 'old technoogy' I tried icrap and sold it off to get my retro Palm gear for practically free on ebay.
Your just so right. Modern phone companys just don't make their devices the right way anymore. Apple purposly bugged their first iPods so after about 1 year of use, they would just break, and you would have to go buy a new one or a new model! And people say Microsoft is greedy! Palm is the best mobile device company.
Do you know where I can go to get my screen repaired? It's been cracked for about 7 years now, and I haven't used it in ages. I started it back up today, but it won't let me get past the stylus test they make you do. It just seems to keep looping around no matter how many times I click the center. Any ideas?
if your annoyed by the thing rattling it should be easy to remove it just take off the 4 screws on the back and the ir cover should be lose right on top just take it out place into the right spot and close the unit back up.
You need the hotsync adapter. Or if you're like me you can use bluetooth with your palmpilot and hotsync that way. But use your adapter. or get yourself a new one
How many phone contacts can it store? It`s easy to access them?
How do you connect it to the PC? USB cable? Serial?
It would be nice if you could make a little video about the contacts. Actually I want to buy one so my mom can use it and replace all the paper thing.

You need the hotsync adapter. Or if you're like me you can use bluetooth with your palmpilot and hotsync that way. But use your adapter. or get yourself a new one

Used to have one, came with Palm Pix and all the stuff I needed. The LCD screen broke, unfortunately, and I have to get a new Palm 3c.
