  • MOLTEN HOT MAGMA

  • 0:33 kinda sounds like a dog growling

that lava reminds me of pizza sauce lol

  • Were learning about volcanoes in science There freakin' awsome.

  • i know volcanos are the best!

  • I know that can't be Mauna Loa. You are lying when I was in Hawaii during 2007 (I lived there for 6 years) Mauna Loa only gave us an earthquake!

  • It's not Mauna Loa, it's a downfield flow from the Pu'u'O'o vent of Kilauea.

  • What happenes if you touch it with a stick ? what happenes to the stick??? its soo cool to watch it tho .

  • come on poke it with a stick!

  • Definitely Kilauea. When Mauna Loa erupts, it's on a much more massive scale. That's the mountain that will cover Kona or Hilo.

  • great movie!

  • someone should poke it w/ a stick see what happpens

  • or an arm

  • Yeah about going near the ocean, a couple of things. One its an unstable shelf, so there is a good chance of the shelf breaking off while you are standing on it. Secondly the steam from the ocean will flash burn you, and kill you...

And as everyone has said its Kilauea not Mauna Loa. Did you pay attention to the signs in the park or the map???

  • i don't live near a volcano :)

  • good for you!

  • Surface lava gets maximum 2000 degrees...not 4,000....I am a Geology major...I know my stuff...that is Kilauea not Mauna Loa...Kilauea has been erupting scince January 3, 1983...Mauna Loa last erupted March of 1984....this footage is of Kilauea Not Mauna Loa...please get it right before you post....:)

  • that lava can get to over 4000 degrees

  • to bad that mount kiluea.

my scienece teacher talks about it all the time.

and i'm doing a project on mauna loa. and it hasn't erupted since 1984.

    you dumbshit.

    >_>

  • touch it

  • i get that a lot.

  • whatever

  • it does! viscousity all depends on the percentage of silice/iron in it

  • From the Author: The resolution has been reduced for MP4 Format, and I guarantee you it's real. The heat, the smell and the sounds were more than enough for me to believe that this liquid rock was real enough!

  • @srauvers Mauna Loa has not erupted since March 1984. Lava from that you filmed is technically from the Pu U O o vent on the east flank of Kilauea. Just thought you'd like to know...

  • ya it does ur fuckin stupid
