  • @nomiclas Hahaha, nuce story

  • Britduke59 - I was not suggesting that Ray Hummel was not the lead singer, merely that Ray Hummel sounded a whole lot like David Surkamp. Either way, I am MOST impressed that you know who Pavlov's Dog are.

havenoneatall - PLEASE tell us more about seeing the Jujus live; songs performed, popularity, etc...

  • From Grand Rapids, Mi. Ray Hummel, was lead singer and crossed over to CW offerings with a limited success. They are found on the coveted ' FENTON 'label which brings BIG BUCKS on E-BAY. The group ( JuJus ) can be goggled in for more info. I remember live performances at the now defunct Woodland Skating Rink back in the sixties.

  • Max Colley was my band teacher.

  • This is a KILLER garage recording with an an amazing bass guitar sound - unusual for a locally-recorded garage 45. The singer sounds like the vocalist in Pavlov's Dog - anyone remember them?

  • Yes I do, but then again I'm 51. David Surkamp is who you're thinking of, but this is definately Ray Hummel.

  • Cool song. Our DJ would play lesser known artists like this back in the day. I remember hearing these guys. Always liked this one. Have it a favorite now.

  • supercool!

  • This group was from Michigan, I think they did only one or two 45s. Great tune!!

  • one of my favorite 60s garage songs... yeah!

  • :) max colley is my band teacher.
