I'd have let him drive off with a warning to stay out but he bragged it was a rental car "so I don't give a sh*t". Called the cops instead. Because kids were around, arrested for child endangerment, car impounded. That meant rental company notified. Charged him for impound days & a recovery fee. Figured his f-up cost him nearly $15k. Hope he learned a lesson.

They do end up paying for that. I work at an enterprise branch up north, and the customer would get charged for what damages they did to the car...the coverage can be revoked if there is evidence of them causing willful destruction of a rental. If a customer came in with hot spotted tires like that to my branch, they'd end up paying for the damages. And seeing as to how the rental looks like that, they'd end up paying a lot.

I got a sense of humour, even in my old age, but trashing a rental car is not a neat idea for making a video. I sincerely hope the children in this video had to pay for damages to that car. When you demonstrate a complete disregard for someone elses property, you fall under the category of a "thug". You'll understand that someday when you grow up.

They do end up paying for that. I work at an enterprise branch up north, and the customer would get charged for what damages they did to the car...the coverage can be revoked if there is evidence of them causing willful destruction of a rental. If a customer came in with hot spotted tires like that to my branch, they'd end up paying for the damages. And seeing as to how the rental looks like that, they'd end up paying a lot.

Its already kept up to my friends V8 LS1 Camaro, an Exige and hit the max speed of 140. Already matched wits with a Volvo (And won) and gets damn good mileage. Go fuck up a Civic, there are to many of those. Now I know why I can't rent a car. Thanks jack asses.

What mods are on your cobalt? I have a 2006 cobalt lt coupe and a 2002 camaro ss. No way in hell the cobalt would even slightly keep up with it!!! Damn good gas milage all the way though and i love my cobalt as well, but it's no LS1 beater by any means. either you have some serious mods or your friends LS1 is in serious need of help!

But sorry, putting a flat spot on a tire doesn't mean you fucked up a tire, maybe theirs 35 dollars in tire damage, but if you knew shit about the mechanics of cars it went back to the rental place the same way it came out. Car is mechanically sound from beginning to end. Get over it.
