  • thsi guy is awesome as hell

  • Duo squat machine, genius at its best, gonna get one of these or a compound leg if its the last thing i do.

  • The guy was a genius, no question

  • Arthur Jones would eat the "Weak-Minded" for lunch.

  • The new machines are crap.

  • my gym has all of the 70s and 80s style machines

    i love them

  • yea , my gym has all older 80style nautilus machines its great

  • yea my gym has all older 80s style nautilus machines , its great, and i pay only 200$ a year, i love the double shoulder and biceps machine

  • Arthur Jones is a hero.

  • Jones reminds me of a samuari.

  • Machines which increase resistance when your muscles are at their strongest point and decrease it when theyre at their weakest...genius, sheer genius

  • guy was an insane genius, his workout method is the only workout that has ever worked for me. My bench went from 225 to 345. 345 being my strongest ever. No creatine, muscle gainers,HG,roids, nothing, just 3 small meals (I know bad nutrition) and hard work.

  • One of the true pioneers of the sport and a true voice of reason! - AJ Rocks! - Markus Reinhardt

  • i think he was talking about the duo squat machine making its debut?

  • Um, what machine is he talking about? The Nautilus machine? Is the Nautilus machine this adaptive? I thought nautilus machines were just weight machines.

  • Anyone with a good idea in exercise since Jones has imitated Jones. All they usually do is over-simplify an old Jones concept, under-research an old Jones concept, or completely misunderstand or mis-use an old Jones concept. Yes, there have been a few truly new ideas, but even those can be extrapolated from Jones' work with no contradictions and few if any gaps to fill. Read his books, you'll be astounded.

  • It would be fair to say that Jones himself also made improvements to his own initial prescription of optimal strength building. There is no question that there is always room for improvement in any field, including sensible bodybuilding and strength training.

  • @lazur1 True.

  • Arthur Jones is a true genius. As inventor of Nautilus machines he did more for fitness than anyone. I workout at a gym that has many newer machines, but I always get my best workouts when I use the older Nautilus machines. Thanks for posting one of Arthur Jones presentations.

  • You are lucky as hell that you have access to the "old nautilus" machines. Last one I saw was a biceps machine about 10 yrs ago.

  • @310stanger I live in Atlanta. A metropolis of over 5 million people. I can't find Nautilus (the real Nautilus) anywhere!!! Not yet anyway!

  • it's actually weird, i always thought for some reason he would have an english accent, though i knew he was american...strange

  • Interesting post. Where did you get the clip? I am interested in more AJ-videos. Cheers!

  • what a character! Its interesting that Mike Mentzer in his later years actually sounded like and shared a lot of Jones' mannerisms.

  • Crazy that is true.

  • its actually freaky

  • imitation is the best form of flattery

  • I'd love to see more of these videos!

  • This is awesome, thanks for posting dude !!! Love this stuff.
