  • this is your last chance, come out with your hands above your.............

  • Did the same guy who composed the music for the film compose the music for the N64 game too?

  • Pierce was a great Bond, but (if u ask me) only in Goldeneye. After this awesome debut movie as bond, he got too cocky and out of shape.

  • For Gondor, James?

  • MY NAME IS GENERAL OURMOV....COME OUT !!! :D

  • @05giacomo My name is Bond, James Bond.....you first Ouromov!

  • GoldenEye The Best

  • I have a very love/hate relationship with this soundtrack. This track is AWESOME, but the music for the tank chase is sooo AWEFUL. I think it's telling that they got david arnold to take over bond movies after eric serra. They even remade serra's bond theme for goldeneye too. Great movie though!!

  • For England james!

  • @Moerdarvalen No, for me.

  • @Moerdarvalen

    For England, Alec.

  • Aww, goldeneye had good music, they dont make it like that no more, this is my favourite Bond movie

  • The best part starts at 2:40

  • 2:28 "hmph.....you can't win."

  • definitely buying the bond box set. i grew up on this movie. i was 5 when it came out .

  • Shut the door Alec, there's a draft!

  • Half of everything is luck James

    And the other half?

    ..

    Fate.

  • Finish the job James! Blow them all to hell!

  • best soundtrack in Goldeneye!

  • They should've had an option in the new Goldeneye game for the Wii where you could hear the music from the scene that the level is based off of (if the scene in question is based on a scene from the movie, otherwise they should keep it the same).

  • Should be played in every elevator, looped. Even played to deaf people because, well, it should be

  • Goldeneye's my favorite bond movie of all time.

  • just look at james wide mouth! oh wait..

  • perfect entry music for pierce brosnan as Bond in 1990s. XD

  • Pierce the Best James Bond!

    Next to Tim Dalton!

  • HOLD your fire!!! YOU'LL BLLLLOW THE GAZTANKZ!!!!

  • Onatopp?

  • 3:47 will always be synonymous with the motorcycle base jump that they actually did. Such a bad ass movie.

  • eric is just epic :o

    His last good OST :o :o :o

  • Facility and Runway

  • I think "GoldenEye" needed this kind of music from Eric Serra, but the later Brosnan and Craig pictures benefit more from David Arnold's work.

  • what a great cover a great soundtrack, great story, great james bond movie. probably the best, yeah? and the game.

  • the 'panpipe' noise can be recreated by down pitching a wood block/clave sound and adding lots of reverb (im convinced this is what Serra actually did)

  • Alec: Half of everything is luck James

    007: And the other half?

    (Alarm)

    Alec: Fate

  • @kamikazeFIST IIRC, 006 says "fate", not Bond.

  • I'm so glad to see there are other fans of this soundtrack... all I ever read online before the days of YouTube was how horrendous it was. Personally I'd hate to think what this movie would've been like with a David Arnold score, this just works so well!

  • sounds like a fat man walking that bond theme!

    anyways, a good soundtrack.

  • This makes me what to watch my favorite action

film right now.I cant wait for this to come out on

    blu-ray!

  • @58fenix it is on blu-ray

  • @vonte14321 No its not!

  • @58fenix yes it is on amazon

  • @vonte14321 just because its on amazon

does'nt mean you can buy it.The name is there

but you cant buy it.Its not due until 2012,possible

next year I hear as well.

  • come out with your hands above your heads.....how original

  • I just love General Ourumov his BIG HAT !

  • this track definitely reminds me of the Cold War

  • "I'm alone."

    Aren't we all, James?

  • Comment removed

  • FOR ENGLAND JAMES!!!?!!!

  • Just listening to this score makes me wants to dig out Goldeneye and watch it for the millionth time. I do miss Pierce as 007 :(

  • @mrbain123 I've got the case...

NOW WHERE THE HELL IS THE DVD?

I'm sorry , i'm not watching the VHS tape.

  • @InstantMix Haha, I wore out my VHS tape ages ago from playing it too much. Thank god for dvd.

  • Same I remember seeing this when I was a young lad, just watched the DVD of it a couple of hours ago- by FAR the best Bond movie, and Brosnan was by far the best 007

  • I love that noise at 1:33 when Ourumov is shown walking to the glass. Most badass Bond villian opening. Who's with me?

  • @589379 right here, buddy.

  • @589379 YOU'LL BLOW THE GAS TANKS!

  • @589379 yeah ourumov was the best along with max zorin i think personaly! also the best music has got to be the living daylights and goldeneye

  • Comment removed

  • "Sorry, forgot to knock."

  • you can't win!

  • This is my favorite Bond theme. I love the air drums and the sounds at 3:06-3:07

  • brilliant theme and fantastic movie

  • Goldeneye is the 1 film and game which seems to stick to everyones mind and he was the best bond, sorry sean connery

  • @britishgoose01

Golden Eye is the first bond movie i watched in my life. Pierce Brosman to me is still James Bond!!!!

  • Walk through a car park in your new suit and briefcase to your BMW and listen to this while you're doing it lol

  • i love this fuckin movie its so epic and so was the game all the new ones kind of suck daniel craig isnt that good

  • Had to stop in the bathroom.

  • -set timers 6 minutes

    -6 minutes check

  • 006: "FINISH THE JOB, JAMES! BLOW THEM ALL TO HELL!"

    Ourumov: "You have 10 seconds. 10. 9. 8. 7. 6. 5. 4. 3. 2..."

    006: "FOR ENGLAND, JAMES!"

*Ourumov shoots 006, and the guards begin shooting at 007*

Ourumov: "HOLD YOUR FIRE! You'll blow the gas tanks!"

    Heh... love this movie.

  • @Shadai2540,

Heheheh... those wacky Soviets and their explosive canisters...!

  • I love that sound at 3:02-3:03 and 3:06-3:07. It sounds so cool.

I have Goldeneye on DVD and sometimes I just listen to this music. It's the DVD menu theme.

  • That strange "air drum" sound (can't think of a name for it), is badass. It was even on the N64 game. Whenever I hear that sound on any movie or game OST, I think of Goldeneye.

  • "For England James"

  • Sucks we had to wait 'till the 90s for a good Bond flick. I guess it was destiny.

  • Hey EliteKillah117 i know that sound ur on about it really cool in fact that sound is used in in the videogame Just cause 2 when your doing missions, if theres one game that reminds me of Goldeneye its Just cause 2!, i think Eric serra is a fantastic composer, very stealthy mood music

  • This is my favorite Bond film.

  • Worlds Greatest Cashcard.. it had better not be rejected..

  • I SWEAR! I LOVE THAT SOUND. Sounds like metal being tapped in such a perfect manner in order to achieve that sound. They have it in 95% of their songs in goldeneye. Movie and the awesome game.

  • @EliteKillah117 You love the metal sound, check out the PS3 game inFamous's soundtrack. It's very unique. The composers had to do things like smash windows on a car to produce the sound they needed, or bang on PVC Pipes.

  • I see. thanks I'll check that out

  • @EliteKillah117 For some reason when I hear this theme and that sound, it makes me think of Russia and the Cold War. Don't ask why but it does.

  • @blackbel4T

It is based on the Cold War, the music.

  • @spoonmonkey14 no IT S BASSED OF HEAD OF ERIC SERRA THE BEST IN THE GENRE GOLDENEYE,LEON,THE BIG BLUE,NIKITA

  • @ONEMANDESTINY You forgot the 5th Element, another of his major works.

  • @deusirae76 yes sure but the best music with best movie by Serra/Besson is by order TheBigBlue,Leon.Nikita, and 5th element

  • trevelyan: james, for england.

    bond: for england alec

  • No, for me

  • "Sperrstunde, James! Letzte Bestellung!"

    "Für mich ein Bier!"

  • Closing time James! Last Call!

  • Buy me a pint.

  • -half of everything is luck james

    -and the other half

    -FATE

    -set timers 6 minutes

    -6 minutes check

  • finish the job James. blow them all to hell.

  • you have 10 seconds

  • this is your last chance, come out with your hands above you.

  • you cant win

  • @PhantomRaiden Buy me a pint! *Sets the C4*

  • @PhantomRaiden Buy me a pint!

  • This is good music to play while playing call of duty modern warfare 2 and the funny thing was when i was playing this music while playing the game i got two of the spy titles lol hahahaha

  • Comment removed

  • Exquis! (que dire de plus?)

  • great movie greater soundtrack. isn't this the same guy who did music for leon, the professional?

  • Yes it is. He also did the soundtrack to The Fifth Element.

  • thanks.kinda figured. i love his work and had this soundtrack on cassette. his work really makes a movie ten times better

  • His name is Eric Serra, his scores are awesome.

  • And The Professional(aka "Leon" overseas) as well as La Femme Nikita.

  • Yep it is Indeed, you can tell Instantly. I love that Hollow Panpipe Noise, It's Eric's Kind of Signature.

Bond Fans hated the soundtrack, I think it's awesome, it's what made the Film. Any i love how the Rare Team Conveyed the sound into the n64Game

  • yes i am also a fan of the n64 music but this track has been such a favorite. i vote for mr. serra to do the next bond music. i wanna see how daniel craig fits with this type of sound

  • It would be awesome, i love the dirty eery music. Industrial music with a score is always good.

Obviously the background of the post cold war, sets up the music, but i'm sure a future bond would be good with eric's craftmanship.

I also think that the music would get alot better review with todays movie audiences. Alot of the 19-25 i know love the music of the Film, where i feel the older generations didnt find that it fitted with a Bond film

  • yeah that sound is really great- kind of foreboding and chilling. its a sound that could only exist with circuits but it gives me kind of a visceral feeling as a listener. the development of technology and its influence on our lives. this is especially a motif visible in the plot, and it happened literally to us who grew up playing the game.

  • @0HaRdLoCk0 You are absolutely right. I agree totally that the soundtrack and the composition to this movie set it apart from every other Bond Movie before it and after it. To me, it's THE Bond soundtrack because it's the one I grew up listening to. And about the N64 game, it was a masterpiece as well, Rare outdid themselves on the soundtracks for Goldeneye and Perfect Dark.

  • @0HaRdLoCk0 It's a hollow panpipe?

I was so convinced it was a filtered clave :(

  • @0HaRdLoCk0 I have all the James Bond films and this has to be my second fav one (after a toss up between "From Russia with Love" & "Gold Finger"). I loved the music in this games bond, especially this one when 007 is actully sneaking. Soo cool

  • @0HaRdLoCk0

Absolutely agree. Couldn't have written that any better.

  • @0HaRdLoCk0 You honestly took the words right of my mouth. I feel like Serra created the music for not only the Goldeneye film, but for the game as well. And many games soon after Goldeneye started using those same sounds that Serra initially created.

And who cannot love that soft clanking noise? So addictive.

  • @spiderwebs7215 Graeme Norgate, Grant Kirkhope and Robin Beanland composed the music for GoldenEye 007 and Sierra's soundtrack as inspiration for it. And yes, the soft clanking noise is just so good!

  • music is so dark, which would of suited dalton perfectly

  • No submarine, no gong. It is a distorted, slowed down and amplified tambourine sound. In case you don`t believe it: I`ve tried it and can tell you it is the truth.

  • one of the best, if not the best Bond OST.

  • goldeneye has the best group of villains.

  • No way!

  • For England James?

  • No For me!

  • Do you really want this secret to be revealed ? I could tell you seeing that I`m using something similar sounding in my current GE:S work

  • Yes please!

  • miau miautz

  • This is VERY Éric Serra. Does anyone know what that kind of industrial sounding recurring sound effect he always has in the background, you can hear it in Léon and The Fifth Element as well. Almost like a giant metallic drum or something, what is it?

  • Good to know I'm not the only one who's interested.

  • Everyone wants to know what that sound effect is, i still dont know yet.

  • "You know James? I was always better."

    oh shit....

  • Goldeneye is the best since sean's bond

  • 'GO ON JAMES, BLOW THEM ALL TO HELL!!!'

  • @bwm5150 You have 10 seconds...

  • @bwm5150 Fiive....fooour.....threeee.....twwooooo....'GO ON JAMES, BLOW THEM ALL TO HELL!!!'

    *creeking noise*

*in infamous voice* Don't shoot! You'll blow up the canisters! *creeking noise ceases*

I remember it like I watched it yesterday :)

  • @bwm5150 He should of said "blow us all to hell"!

  • @bwm5150 "Finish the job, James! Blow them all to hell!"

  • @bwm5150 You have 10 seconds...

  • @bwm5150

More like "FINISH THE JOB, JAMES! BLOW THEM ALL TO HELL!" You were mostly right.

  • @TheAzureKnighthood lol i know....it was in the spur of the moment listening to this epic music...as soon as i had submitted i realised....the vibe is there though ;)

  • what is that effect that crops up in this film so much. It's so typically USSR.

The only way I can describe it is a hammer hitting something metal at the end of a very long corridor

  • I think you described it, but for a name, how about the "Jerry Goldsmith Special," after his scores for Conan and Total Recall?

  • Yeah i know what you mean those metal songs are atmospheric cold and USSR-like, i dont know why i love them.. Its so Goldeneye-ish, they are even in the game

  • I have always loved that sound as well.

  • I asked the same question, you can hear it in the background in Leon and Fifth Element as well, it sounds so futuristic and industrial! Wish I knew what it was.

  • submarine sound effect

  • "I like a girl who enjoys pulling rank"

  • Gotta be my fave Bond film ;)

  • "For England James!"

  • no. for me.

  • "Closing Time James .....Last Call"

    "buy me a pint!"

  • lol

  • the mission Control at the nintendo 64 verison of game

  • You guys played the awesome goldeneye for Nintendo 64:P

a little wierd to ask of that since is sooo old...game arrived 1998 movie: 1996

  • you seem to have your time wrong. the movie came out in 1995, while the game came out 2 years later, in 1997. i distinctly remember when the game came out because my brother had gotten it for christmas that year.

  • I was six when I first saw this film, and the music has stuck with me every since.

  • @Scruffy193 Same and same (:

  • @Scruffy193 Same :)

  • @Scruffy193 It is pretty cool.

  • @Scruffy193

Yea same here. I think Goldeneye had the best music of all the Bond movies. I like how they used the music in the game too.

  • @Scruffy193 Same for me, I was 7.

  • im trying to think, but Goldeneye is pretty much the only JB movie to have a very unique score yes? as in, you hear this score and you KNOW its from Goldeneye.

  • @johnkerry7 I disagree. Most of the Bonds movies used John Barry's usual compositions for trumpets for sure (nothing against them but it was sometimes redundant), but there were some really unique scores : funky/disco synthesizers in The Spy Who Loved Me, disco/cowbell-like soundtrack in For Your Eyes Only, during the chase scenes in particular. Not to mention Michael Kamen's attempt to make the Bond theme sounding more "hispanic" in Licence to Kill.

Serra's work on Goldeneye is still my fav=)

  • @deusirae76 Michael Kamen's soundtrack for License to Kill was good but when i think of Michael Kamen soundtracks, I immediately think Die Hard and Lethal Weapon.

  • i think this has to be the best score for the bodn films. now granted i havent seen the two new ones, but from all the others this is the best.

  • 2:41-2:45 is the coolest, makes me think of Ourumov

  • me too

  • ''Fire!'' (Russian Accent)

  • Same and also its when the auto target missles launch from the tiger attack helicopter and bond head butts the eject button.

  • great soundtrack brings back memories
