i've seen some pictures of the stain left behind being a beautiful deep cherry red. I'm wondering, if that is really henna, how you would make the concoction so you can get that beautiful colour, or what you need to add to the pattern once it's on your skin.
my tattoos always end up a nice orangey brown. but i would love that dramatic red.
@73Stargazer It is henna, you need to make sure you give your henna enough time to let the dye release, that time depends on the region your henna is from, Moroccan henna needs 6-8 hrs, henna from Rajasthan about 12 hrs. I heard people get the best result with Jamila henna after 48 hrs dye release. Then leave it on over night but at least for 6 hrs, after the paste is scraped off, apply henna balm or henna oil everytime before the design comes in contact with water.
I now recommend using cajeput essential oil. It's waaaaay better. You can get it at ArtisticAdornment.
Yup, henna looks like baby poo or mud. But wouldn't any ground up powdered plant leaves mixed with liquid? We're basically just making very purposeful, specialized, fancy mud here.
Nope, there's no sugar in my henna. It's humid as all heck in New England and it makes it take waaaay too long to dry if you mix sugar in there (which makes it suck up moisture from the air).
All very beautiful ,,,,Is any one can tell me how to make liquide henna which we use to put on Eid with chouriyaan shops, with wooden blocks designe I want to know if some one can tell me that recipes of that blooks mixtures..please
no such thing. If you use "black" henna you could hurt yourself (or others). sometimes when people say they're using "black" henna it's actually hair dye (which can burn you if you have a bad reaction) or cause some skin cancers. =) so be careful and just use really, really, really dark Henna =)
i read in a book that you can add some coffee or tea instead of extra lemon juice.I mean still add lemon juice but not as much, so you still have some room for the coffee or tea. Try I'm not sure though.
you cant make black henna paste and dont buy it from shops it is not real it will give you ppd and if you want more info go on google and type in black henna
I heard that too much of an essential oil can burn your skin, it happened to me with lavender and eucaliptus and clove oil so I use a few drops, but you used a lot!
try boiling cloves in you tea or lemon jucie, instead of adding clove oil (the reason you got a burning sensation is because you added clove oil wich is the best oil but has some risks for sensitive skin)
mabe its just your reacton to the clove, clove oils is super strong and it might mean that you skin is not used to the clove. or it might be the eucaliptus, there are thousands of eucaliptus and you might of bought the wrong kind
y wud u want lavender in henna? tats messed no onffense:|

Thanks for watching this video! Please also check out my channel for new (MUCH BETTER!) videos :)
And no - food oil doesn't have the monoterpene alcohols in it that you need. Cajeput essential oil is best, others with monoterpene alcohols are okay.
As for the nice deep red color, it is possible only on the palms of the hands and soles of the feet. Try applying your henna there!

Respond to this video... Question? Can you remove henna tattoos?
FFNut20000 1 year ago
@FFNut20000 they fade after 2-3 weeks when the skin exfoliates
angelface190081 1 year ago
@angelface190081 Ace! I may get one of them. But I wouldn't draw swirly-leafy patterns.
FFNut20000 1 year ago
@FFNut20000 yeah why not, you can draw anything you like
