He's so adorable and so sweet and it makes me think of the doctor telling my mother that my little brother may have down syndrome and asking if she would like to "end" the pregnancy. It makes my heart hurt that someone would want to stop something so precious, kind, gentle and innocent from entering the world.

It's not true - children like this grow up, communicate, feel, have their emotions as adults - it only takes more time and effort for them to achieve that.
