this sounds like Kurt Cobain singing the blues and bleeding out through a dobro. great stuff! thank you, mr. deluca. and, thank you to whom ever took the time to upload this. and, great job with the child labor montage.
I found out about Mr. Deluca through Slash (Saint Is A Sinner Too) thank you Slash XD Those pictures are a bit creepy to me btw.... Great video though :)
hey i really enjoy this singer a remarcable and estrange voice it brings to my mind voices like shannon hoon , anyway , amazing , by the way , dude where did you get those pictures i think i seen it before , thanx again bro
if you think this recession is trying check these haunting pictures out. a handful of displaced Irish, italians, germans, and blacks. but when the Bitish decided to come ashore in new orleans, they were blown away Curtosy of Of a pissed off Irishman named Andrew Jackson, a pissed off Irishman who would die rather than become an indentured slave...keep up the unreal work Rocco cause I haven't heard any really good music since the 1970's huichol53........
@2drdave, he isn't because he was picked as one of VH1's "You Oughta Know" artists. 1 in every 10 of those artists have really had a successful career following that label. I swear to god it's a curse man, and now they are going to ruin Mumford & Sons because of it as well.
He kind of sounds like Jeff Buckley on this track. (A la "Live @ Sine") An unusual, rare male sound, vocally. And he's a pretty badass guitarist too. I can't wait to hear more.
Where did you get this version of the song? When/where is the recording from? I've seen Rocco play a few times but never heard him perform the song quite like this. Very pleasant surprise to hear it.
This is a version of the song from a Starbucks Instore Solo-Acoustic performance on 02/16/2007 in Irvine, Ca. This was recorded by Larry Singer (Thanks Larry!) and is being used with permission.
This version (sort of) is on Rocco's latest CD, "Mercy" that just came out last week. It's a little different than the one that was recorded on the solo acoustic album, which is the one that they typically play at live shows.
@locksaluck This is an amazing version. Great audio and powerful images. Quite appropriate...it works! Thanks for the background. Wish I could've been there! This is a gift. Gratitude.
I can't believe this video only has 4 comments. I saw the documentary by the same title, but I didn't really like the album as much as I did their live stuff.
The average kid surfing on the internet living like a king cannot understand what workers that founded this country went through. The slavery of children and white people who worked in the north was terrible.
It wasn't just the blacks but everyone under the industrialists' thumb. Progress?!

But I do support the movement and worker's rights, thought I'd clarify that.... or back to indentured servitude and red bandanas we go!

Awsome song, I think I will buy the album.
The good old days - they were terrible.
Images hard to imagine.

Coal miner children likely died young - sad.
