  • ooo fish

  • Biorbs are just stupid....

  • Comment removed

  • Bio-orbs are really just glorified bowls.

  • Bio-orbs aren't the best of choices in the aquarium category.

  • hey where did u get this tank it is so cool and for how much ;)

  • id like a biorb but its 2 expensive lol

  • This is how we look to god on his tv

  • BiOrbs can suck greatly. :/ You can't keep many fish inside and it was actually rejected by a lot of fish stores I've been to. The bacteria in the filter can kill fish easily.

  • I just watched my cat sleep....

  • I would feel sorry for even one fish in there.... They just swim around and eat and poop and that's all. It just seems pathetic in a bowl, but they do that everywhere else too... I just feel bad for them all. :( I feel bad for everything alive now. :/

  • too. many. fish.

And that shape is not really conducive to proper aeration. The bubbles don't do much for aeration. It's actually more to do with water surface to air contact. A long rectangular tank is a better way to go for proper oxygenation.

  • crazy video

  • Can't do time lapse videos with a low quality camera man.

  • WOOOOOOAHHH CUUUHHRAAAAAAAAAAAAZYYYYYYYYY!!!

  • They're like traffic.

  • Fish can live longer in captivity (apparently), but not like this! Give them a bigger tank with surface area i think with the way this biorb looks you'll do a great job on a 10g normal tank or bigger.

  • how do you feed them is there a lid on the top?

  • and wtf?

  • The Life Of A Fish: Hmm wonder what ill do today? I know! I'll swim to the end of the bowl! aww shit im already here.. fuck it go home and eat a burrito

  • im digging the red wag platties..

  • @oldskoolsk8er1256 really? i'm not.

  • Why did I watch this to the end?

  • NOT CRAZY

  • fish: mom i can go all over the world!

  • this is cruel the fish should be in a proper fish tank.

    thumbs down.

  • LOL, thumbs up if you were watching him play computer games, wondering what game it is...

  • @zerotankor Some kind of driving game? endless driving....

  • LSD!!!!!!!!!! DRUGS

  • Why do people hate this vid so much?

  • @allyourcode These tanks aren't popular with enthusiasts. The foot print gets smaller as you go higher or lower in the tank. You can't stock this tank with the same number of fish as you could with a normal tank with the same volume. Basically fish swim side to side and there is much less room near the bottom and top. And these tanks have little to no surface area. Surface area, more precisely surface area with agitation, is important for oxygenation.

  • Gotta rank this right up there with the yule log.

  • i really like the tank xD

  • waffles

  • Zoiberg: WOOPWOOPWOOPWOOPWOOPWOOPWOOPWOOP!!

  • @MyNameIsSteveYesitis they probably got nothing better to do. Arguing about fish tanks is kinda fun though...

  • Universe:

    At first there was darkness

    and then "Bang",

    a Fish Tank.

    Tank looks like Big Bang

  • A..MAZ..ING

  • dig!

  • why is everyone arguing about fish tanks? fish tanks?!

  • I hate this tank =(

    Poor fishes...

  • @Seelenfeuer666 Actually they could survive in there provided the tank was "aged" for long enough to have a healthy growth of waste-eating bacteria in the substrate and/or filter medium before the fish were put in... Most people put in to many fish, too fast without enough time for the bugs to build up, that's the whole problem with this tank. If people would just follow the instructions...

  • thumbs up if u watched the TV

  • @theMrmuttly1 i think hes playing a racing game lol

  • 1. Round tanks make your fish "crazy" (like you said in the title)

    2. This tank is MUCH too small for the fish you have in there, especially platyfish.

    3. (to previous commenters) I don't see a Betta in there.

    Poor fish, very cruel!

  • @yotapact "normal" fish live in open water... neither cups nor tanks are considered normal if you think about it

  • There is a heater in the tank

  • 0:15-0:18 look at the bottom right.all that should be in that tank!!!and it should have a heater

  • @nemo220901 He says he has a heater. read before you comment.

  • 0:15-0:18 is a betta.all that should be in that tank with a heater!!!

  • @nemo220901 those are platys :P

  • @Lethologica333 yes they are why?

  • ...have i been here before? *fish*

  • If these tanks can take care of marine fish I think these molly's will be just fine LOL

  • this tank is beautiful :)

  • @ssdarkside1 I base my RESEARCH off of scientific evidence and life spans of betta fish kept in larger aquariums in contrast to those that are kept in the small containers you speak of. After breeding a betta it is suitable for the fry to live in small jars and containers on their own for up to a month or two. A betta fish can live for up to 6-7 years if cared for properly. In fact I was just caring for a friend's fish that was 5 years old and even at his old age he was still healthy and happy.

  • Beta's do better in small spaces they originally are found in rice patty fields they live in the puddles a beta can survive in a shot glass if your feeling sorry go to church this is nature do your research.......They do just fine in small spaces duh ;)

  • did you feed the fish wizz?

  • @ssdarkside1 While this is correct as far as DEPTH goes, betta don't deserve to be confined to a tiny living space. There are plenty of "Shelf Aquariums" above 5 gallons that are long, narrow, and shallow. Perfect for the species as they breath from the surface and prefer a lot of swimming room just as any other fish does.

  • what size is that biorb

  • @ssdarkside1

ROFL I can't tell if serious or not but I'm lawling either way. This is great stuff :p

  • @ssdarkside1

in the wild bettas live in huge rice fields

so you really think a large tank will disorient them?

  • @ssdarkside1

    incorrect

  • Great that you have living plants - set up looks great. For others, having kept huge globes (32 at wide) (acrylic globes - NYC Chinatown) I lowered the water line (had a seam) so yes the water line can be lowered. The agitation for these is enough to mix air oxygen (and other gasses into the water column) but to me it would cause a bit less agitation (or one can create plastic mesh baffles (roll it up insert into tube keeps fish out) calmer area for eating so on..

  • its filled too high, there needs to be a larger surface area for oxygen to mix into the water.

  • don't listin to them you have a great tank and a perfect amout of fish also everyone they are not betta, betta fish live alone

  • I like your lay-out! :)

  • Umm.... That seems a bit overstocked....

  • Did you play gran trismo while you where waiting?

  • Way too many fish in a way to little tank! :/

  • lol dont listen to this guy. your tank is superb benderingtime!

  • and that is why you never mistake calcium powder for some other white powdery substance ( snort snort)

  • I'm a true believer in regular tanks. However, the biorb seems like it would actually be OK as far as filtration and oxygen, unlike most other "tiny" blob tanks. Something I see about them, that I really like, you can look down into the water, right thru the side. You'll always have people put too many or too large of fish into too small a space. Doesn't matter if it's retangular, ball shaped or square. Also, fish seem to take the rounded sides easier than straight.

    My opinion.

  • biorbs are pretty much tanks.. in the shape of a fish bowl ;)

  • @laminae round bowls disorient fish by bending light. It makes them look like there just happy swimming but there just trying to go straight.

  • Fair point.

But like you said, people have the irresistable urge to put a lot of fish in a small space to make it look "full".

IF you can adhere to stocking densities with all the variables in check, than by all means th Biorb is an excellent choice space wise.

  • @laminae Many small round tanks and bowls have bad air surface, and some don't even have filtration. That's what concerns a lot of fish-keepers. Also, if the tank is too small, it could overcrowd even the small tropical fish kept in there.

  • @laminae I do not agree, take a big tank and take a look of a time laps of that , the have a bihaviour ,.. not like these fish clamped on each other

  • That's what my danios do normally!

  • Blehhh, i hate biorbs

  • what plants do you have in there?

  • to the person whos always wanted a biorb tank, but is broke, look on ebay

  • cybermods it looks fine to me

  • Comment removed

  • What if it's for a betta

  • well it looks cool and this tank just takes up less space than a tank and I don't have much room

  • @yotapact

They're not Betta. They're mollies (Or possibly platy's or sword tails) and some other fish that t this time I can't discern. Duh.

And this type of aquarium is quite perfect for Betta.

  • @JMJvoltage i know your so right (im a animal expert)

  • @JMJvoltage Almost perfect - too much agitation (thin celled fins - single celled can be easily torn at miscroscoscopic level allowing bacterial to enter) but this can be adjusted with valve at tubing...or baffle ie lower water (I've created many a filter for my huge globes diy, with falls area (wood rock sculptures so on and water trickling down to baffle flow) and the light is a bit bright but again floating plants (larger leaved Anubias or other at surface)

  • @yotapact they do dummy

  • @yotapact i think its because since the pet workers put them in cups it will save more money but i also think they can afford 1 fish in 1 5 gallon tank i think thats y

  • @yotapact Bettas*, actually.

  • @yotapact Yes but if a betta lives in too big a tank then they get really stressed from trying to defend their territory and it causes more harm than good, i agree though, tiny little tanks are not for any type of fish, 8 gal at least!

  • @yotapact Yes but if a betta lives in too big a tank then they get really stressed from trying to defend their territory and it causes more harm than good as everyone else said their natural habitat is also not that large, i agree though, tiny little tanks are not for any type of fish, 8 gal at least!

  • @ATKthesecond Actually the larger the tank the easier it is for the betta. They pic one specific spot in the tank (near a decoration, plant, or piece of driftwood) and claim that as their "territory" allowing other fish the lay of the land. This is why betta can be kept in community tanks with non aggressive fish in 10 gallon tanks and up.

Please RESEARCH CREDIBLE SITES before posting nonsense and spreading false information. Thank you.

  • @LucyLoofa did u kno nemo can talk and his dad can breath in air and screm NEMO!!!! also fish eventually turn into whales

  • @yotapact hi , thats how their natural habitat is... infact their natural habitat is worse than a cup... they originate from rice paddy fields in thailand and live in little swaps (cup size dirty water). they jump from one little swamp to another in search of food or lack or oxygen etc...

  • @babanachiket You obviously have never been to asia yourself or seen a rice paddy.

They also, often, connect to fresh water streams. The "dry season" is the only time they may be forced to live in small, dry, dirty, or shallow conditions and during this time nearly half of the species die off while only the fish fry(babies), which can survive in these conditions being much smaller and living off the larvae that insects lay in the puddles, will remain and be able to grow. Then it wet season again

  • @LucyLoofa Thank you so much Lucy for enlightening me with your knowledge. I am pleased to learn. thank you very much.... by the way Lucy.... I am from Asia... ;-)

  • @yotapact #1 Its not a cup, Its a very nice fish tank that provides adequate space, water quality, and oxygen, which sadly, is more than a lot of fish get.

and #2 I agree with you about bettas. but if you would look theres not a betta in that tank. just Mollys, platys, danios, and tetras

  • @yotapact because it would be a waste of water to put one fish into a "normal" sized tank =.= Beta fish are solitary and territorial fish :P they are also very aggressive, and will attack any fish and will even attack their won kind especially their own gender. they will only not attack a female if its mating time, but if its not time to mate then they will attack everything in sight and besides Betas have adapted to live in small areas =.= that is why they must live in small areas

  • @yotapact they dont necessarily need to live in the cups that you purchase them in by all means you can put them into a slightly larger tank, but be reasonable about the size of the tank because too big is just ridiculous if there is only one fish =.=

  • nah i have a biorb 30lt and i have 51inch tetras and 2 2nhalf inch rosy barb and they have loads or room

  • where can i buy one of those?(i live in croatia, is there any store in some close country? )

  • I always wanted an BiOrb tank but their so expensive and im broke.

  • BIORB rocks but euh....How do you clean it?

  • They're very pretty. How many do you have in that biorb? And what size is it?

  • kewl
