  • Hey can u post a link to the second light in the video? i cant find where to get one

  • what type of Infrared IR flashlight are you using, i live in Uruguay (South America) and i love hunting with my night vision but i am looking for a good Infrared IR flashlight, can you please send me the model, thank you very much for your time, have a nice day.

  • would these flashlights work with a sony niteshot camcorder

  • @TheBoofdog

    yup, they should

  • @TheBoofdog I came here to ask the same thing.. haha..

  • I'm looking at a similar (or the same) drop in for my Surefire 6P. I believe that the peak wavelength is about 800 nm. Can anyone comment about how well this will work with 1st generation night vision?

  • Great video! Nice night vision. I have a Sony SR-11 camcorder that has. I'm just wondering which would give the best light output a 3 watt light with a red lens or a 3 watt IR light?

  • where could i get a IR flashlight thats got decent range and isnt really visable to the naked eye

  • i like the surefire do you think it would work with call of duty NVG's

  • What's the G2 conversion? I buy the Surefire M1 and do something to it? Thanks

  • so, when playing airsoft, is the light visible to the naked eye?

  • @newbreed494

    what light?

  • @GearBuyersGuide All of them...

  • @newbreed494 no the light is invisible to the naked eye , you can onnly see it with a camera

  • @newbreed494 no, only if your looking through a digital camera or the special goggles

  • @newbreed494 nope. Infrared is invisible to the naked eye thats why you need a infrared goggle or scope setup.

I use the MW2 headset as a sniper and an infrared: Flashlight and laser designater.

I am also a Sniper so my whole team has IR strobes. Basically a infrared flash bulb. They mount it on their rifle or helmet. If a person I see in my scope isnt flashing, I either try to take a shot or deploy/notify a team mate of that presense.

    Its pretty cool man :)

  • @graytgray i would be pissed if i was out there and my IR strobe ran out of battery

  • @newbreed494 Yes, it is. I played at a big 14-hour overnighter last August with the drop-in lamp with an ATN NVD and it still worked out pretty well.

  • Awesome, so cool that they make ir flashlights. Thanks for the info and details.

  • I live in tucson! :D

  • @lemmonsinmyeyes

    cool, so do we

  • @lemmonsinmyeyes I live in detroit you lucky dog

  • what is the name of first light?

  • @Jone952

LIke he said, some no-name chinese model with IR bulb

  • Woul any of these work with a regular video camera i have a sanyo E2.

  • @crazymike199 if you remove the infrared filter on the camera you could but it can be tricky sometimes and you might damage the camera

  • could you help me find or build a nice cheap, ir illuminator that uses 2AA

  • @eddluireg i made one out of a infrared light board on ebay but it uses a 9v battery and it doesnt have much range but its good for lighting up a room or a back yard

  • With the G2 and the 3W IR drop-in, is the light visible to the naked eye? That's a great price for the combo if it isn't.

  • @ satsunuku

There is a faint red glow on the LED to the naked eye, but no light

  • @GearBuyersGuide its easy to make an infra red flashlight out of any ordinary flashlight. All you need is really dark red filters to be added in front of a powerfull flashlight lens and stack the filters so only the invisible IR light comes out. The infrared device will pick up the light that cannot be seen with naked eyes. People don't know that the major difference in a 3000.00 dollar Night vision Monocular vs a 300.00 dollar monocular is the quality of the infrared light source.

  • @satsunuku G2 and G3 night vision is purty much the ultimate scam. There are ways of getting the same functinality out of a G1 for 1/10 the cost. The trick is the IR light source illumination on G1 is visible vs G2 and G3 is barely noticed. The issue can be corrected by adding extra filters to the G1 units. Old Dark Red photographic negatives work well if you stack them on the light source. The NV will still pick up the invisible light. LOL just saved you 3000 bucks.

  • @eduardomjan1973 I didn't go for the G2; I got a few great things from Deal Extreme instead. For something like $48 (free shipping) I got and UltraFire W-502B, tis drop-in module, two RCR123 rechargeables, and a charger.

The fact that it emits a dim red light visible to the naked eye isn't a huge deal. Sure, it would be nicer if it were invisible (at least what I use it for), but it's not. It is, however, a very powerful IR illuminator as the video says.

  • @eduardomjan1973 why would you add an extra filter to a g1 unit? dont you mean add a filter to your light sources?

  • @satsunuku just make sure the darker the red filter the better. you have to make sure to filter all the visible white light so only the red light comes out. The red light is invisible to the naked eye but the night vision will pick it up.

  • Awesome demo, very cool. Doesn't the faint glow of the 3W drop-in give away your position? Also have you had any overheating issues with it? Still pretty impressive for what it is.

Wait till the SureFire V2 Vampire comes out, the low is the same as your M1 but high setting is like 7 times brighter I think.

  • No overheating problems yet, but it's cooler at night and we don't use them for extended periods of time

Sure the light gives away or position?

But we can see further than they can in the dark.. or at least thats the idea

  • how many yards to the various distances?:?? wth?? without you giving us the distances it's not as helpful

  • oh I didn't realize ..

The berm was about 35 yards away the bush was 60-75 if I remember correctly

  • nice

  • thanks, we were suprised how well the 'cheap' light works

  • can you put that sure fire drop in lamp into a G2 flash light?

  • Yes.. we swap the parts around
