  • 4:05 for the unboxing, your welcome.

  • Nice hat lol

  • Just recently I upgraded from a 9800 gt to a gtx 460 SSC and I want to get this PSU so ill be ready for a full platform upgrade.

  • Goddamn I want one of these so bad. I currently have a cm 550w and its pretty good but I heard corsair has the best PSUs. Plus I can't wait to go modular and make my case all neat and shit. I don't plan on doing SLI/Crossfire but I want to be able to make sure I have headroom for graphic card upgrades in the future. Plus I have a 50 watt delta fan which sounds like a loud hair dryer/leaf blower.

  • Any one know if this PSU could power two HD 6970's?... :)

  • @xtredxdudex yeah it sure does!

  • Dude you sure you didn't need a machete to open the box!!

  • i thinked it when you said " Lets be careful when cutting this box " and you have the fucking knife facing towards you good work champ.

  • can this get too hot like it will be in flames.... sorry for my lame english

  • @dumbasshit123 Lol... Your "lame English"... Why would it catch fire?

  • het listen frenchie here XD

  • For 20 bucks more, you can get a AX 850 W which is Gold and fully modular

  • just ordered that yesterday realy looking forward to it

  • can i run 3 5850s with this?

  • of course, but why do you want 3X5850 in the first place?

  • @124Z312 Hmm... you might JUST get away with that.

  • @gaz52 No, it will do it fine, bear in mind this can do SLI 480's

  • @SeanBondWBB I wouldn't trust this psu with 2 480s. They use around 500w under load by themselves.

  • @gaz52 wtf are you on about, 250w max board power mate

  • @SeanBondWBB Yeah, that's 250w for each card. Look it up on Nvidia website.

  • @gaz52 yeah i know, so whats your point? 500w leaves 350w for everything else, and thats plenty, not to mention that it probly puts out more than 850 anyway

  • @SeanBondWBB Well I still wouldn't trust it and that's it. End of.

  • @gaz52 Then your clearly a retard, enjoy buying an crazy wattage power supply, and ruining it by running it below recommended load.

  • @SeanBondWBB You're the retard. It's not recommended to run any psu at max wattage. And btw, I have this with 2 460s and it's running great.

  • @gaz52 You wont be running it at max wattage, and anyway. Decent PSU's such as the corsair are designed to be run at 100% 24/7 with no problems, im running 2 x 480's with no problems

  • @SeanBondWBB I'm not arguing anymore. Good day to you.

  • @gaz52 Because you got proved wrong? lol childish much?

  • Maybe you should use a bigger knife when you unbox things, make you and your santa hat more badass. Going to get this PSU myself next week looking forward to it.

  • That PSu was supposed to be "80 Plus Gold". But it bearly made it into the "Gold Zone" so Corsair decided to rate it as "80 Plus Silver" instead. So you can call it gold or very high end silver. I will get this PSu soon. And I'm really looking forward to upgrade to it so I don't need to use my VX 550W any more.

  • @KapteinFruit i did not know it was suppose to be in the Plus Gold, the 80 Plus Silver is enough for me I only heard good review about this PSU. Doing the job so far ..... i love this PSU

  • @KapteinFruit Corsair or nor does any other manufacturer decide the 80 PLUS standard. PSUs are tested to be certified for 80 PLUS, and the manufacturer is not alllowed in any way to change that rating. Even though studies find that the HX 850 is rated above Gold standards, they are rated Silver, which I find very odd

  • @bvestationfan I'm high now so I might have misunderstood your reply.

Anyways, what I meant was that the Corsair HX 850W did barely have good enough results so I chose to let it be a high end 80 Silver PSU. Know what I'm saying?

  • @bvestationfan They chose* They i.e. Corsair made it 80 Plus Silver to make the consumers happy. Instead of some getting a BARELY Gold PSU they get a very high en Silver one. Put it this way, the chose to have a Silver logo instead of a Gold because Corsair felt it wasn't worth calling it Gold Rated because it was barely.

  • @KapteinFruit nice info, make me think that I got more power with out going to far down from 80+gold :-D
