nope. it's cat's basic instinct to try to cover it's poo after it was done with the shitting. So as not for predators to know where they have been with the poo. It came from cat's ancestor ever since they were wild cats. Of course. Those domestic cat's children wont have this instinct anymore after 2 to 3 generations as they dont even know that they need to do that due to not pooping in the grass.
It's their instinct to cover up after themselves so that any predators hunting them won't get a strong scent. That's why house cats usually cover their duty in the litter box too.
