Odin is at his best in Final Fantasy VII, because if he doesn't do an Instant Kill he at least does damage instead. It ticked me off that he was hit or miss.

I would love to see a remake of FF VI for the DS. I love the portability, and Final Fantasy VI is my favorite by far, of all the final Fantasy's I've played. My order goes VI, IV, VII, VIII, XII hate on me all you want VII fanboys, those 2 beat it by a long shot in my book. and I haven't been able to play VIII in a while so I don't remember much about it. and I hated the battle system in XII, but from what I've seen of XIII it looks like they worked back to tradional in a sense. I like that.

@uktrayf: To each his own but I absolutely HATED the battle system in XII, and the story (as much as I played of it because i didn't like the way the game played. Didn't impress me either. During the opening cutscene I was literally saying, So this is what happens, when Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and "Final Fantasy" mix. But if you liked it I'm glad for you.

I will admit i have a strong bias against Nintendo, mainly because they would slit their momma's throat for a penny , but also because they keep making those stupid consoles, which have been the second best of the last two generations (N64 is where they should have stopped.) and when they continue to make console it just ensures that people like me will never get to play their games.

some of these summons can be found later in the game most of them underground or castles of places of summon or even on the moon I had a hell of a time to get all these my self for this old school game the only question to ask is is there a way to still make doubles of shields, swords , bows , any weapons like the old final fantasy game other wise you'll need tons of money to buy up lots of elixirs on the moon.

The summon animations were good, but it lacked impact animations on the enemies like in FF3 DS or Crisis Core (It showed the video then an animation of e.g.Ifrit's fire wave etc.)

The four rare-drop summons may be weak, but I still think they're exceptionally cool. Goblin's animation in the DS version is brilliant (and the attack itself is a lot better, too).

I got them all in the Advance version, but in FFIVDS I only have Goblin and Bomb, and as far as I'm concerned they completely ruined Bomb. His spell name was changed to something daft and its animation is bizarre to say the least. The damage output is also no longer dependent on Rydia's HP. :(

They are treasure drops from their respective monsters. Meaning, fight a bunch of Mindflayers and you may get a Mindflayer summon as a prize. They are notoriously hard to get and surprisingly weak in strength.

Personally, I think Whyt is a better project to work on.

After Yang's heroics in the Tower of Babil, visit him underground in the sylph cave (the very northwest). He'll be asleep on the bed. Then return to Fabul and speak to his wife in the west tower, she'll give you a frying pan. Return to Yang and whack him with it to get Yang's augments and the Sylph summon. Return the frying pan to Yang's wife to get the Knife, the best thrown weapon for Edge in the game. This must all be done before going to the moon.

Technically they're bombs, just different colours. Most of the games don't make a distinction other than stats and palette swaps.

Technically they are bombs, but telling someone to kill Bombs for the summon isn't going to work. If you check the bestiary, you'll see that the Bomb summon is not dropped by "Bombs". It is only dropped by Grenades and Balloons on the moon.

Yep, Asura still has her three summon effects of Curaga, Raise, or Protect on the whole party.
