i find X-sabers r to cheap. they can negate to much and they have to many spell cards to help them out

@cooldude961 I actually think x-sabers aren't cheap; if they were cheap, then they would be topping a lot more. If you take a look at the YCS top 32's, theres always very few x-saber decks (like less than 3). Contrary to what many believe, this deck actually takes a good deal of skill :]. Glad you think they're good though, cuz they are. You should give them a try, they're great! :D

@Ruis0 I didnt pay nearly that much for it. I only payed around $250-300, granted I did have the non x-saber cards already. But I can't see it going for more than $500 total. Where doe you get your values?

Also I think anyone can make any deck if you're smart about trading and buying/selling :]. Not to mention that emmersblade is getting reprinted as a super in hao4SE

@Ruis0 You mean including solemn warning, mirror force, etc? Hmm I'm not really sure... My guess is, buying emmersblade as a reprint, it would be around $400 (not including extra deck). That's a complete ballpark though. I guess the easiest thing for you to do would be to look it up on eBay or something :p. And don't look at toywiz - they overprice everything. Troll&Toad is really good, but personally eBay is my fav

@zwan09 I'm not really sure, I've never thought about that XD. To be honest, I haven't clue. There isn't really a card that could replace pashuul in the deck. I guess you could max out boggart and faultroll, or add an airbellum, or maybe even spirit reaper (if you really want a monster that wont be destroyed by battle). Honestly, I would just go on ebay and buy some english pashuuls there - they let you use english cards (as long as they arent exclusives) in the ocg, don't they?

@IoIcake yeah they allow it but im not sure they allow it in tournament because the asian championship is coming so i need it and the extra pack volume 4 is coming out in september so x saber is going to rock in ocg ,they give us boggart knight and darksoul but the didnt give us pashuul ,does krebons a good card to replace it?.

@PanosGx Saber hole can only negate inherent summons. Inherent summons are those that don't occur through an effect, like a synchro. For example, Monster reborn is not an inherent summon. And it's not that big of a deal, but you also need a face up x-saber for saber hole. So saber hole isn't too great because it has a requirement and only stops inherent summons. Bottomless isn't so good either - it's moved to my side deck :p

ofcourse its how you play it. make sure he has no necro then summon ancient fairy. ancient fairy will stop necrovalley from popping out or its just as simple as emmersblade then ss dark soul then next turn normal debris.

I know where you're coming from, and it's a good strategy/idea, but I think there are better cards for me to side, like dust tornado.

why? because darksoul can be easily pulled out by debris so its instant 7. instant brd or ancient fairy. very broken against GK and dragunity

and I tried debris dragon before but it was subpar... I usually didn't have a follow up to a black rose nuke/ I wanted to use the normal summon on an x-saber. thanks for the advice tho!

@anzxWEE I pretty much never go into lv7 synchros, not even urbellum. You can go black rose if you synchro a level 5 synchro, like catastor, with pashuul.

@usernameODST Setting it first turn before your opponent knows what you're playing is good. Also ramming it into your opponents monster lets you search out anything, like darksoul. Finally, people don't like attacking into it, so they will waste resources just to get it off the field without attacking it. Also its a level 3 ton tuner, so its another way to go into hyunlei with fulhelmknight. Also Billy Brake, who got t4 at ycs Charlotte, used 3. His friend posted Billy's decklist on pojo

@WanaBeGameKing You can replace the emmersblade with giant rat(s) and hamster(s). It will be playable, and still decent, but it won't be up to par at the competitive level. You could use 2 emmersblade, but that's the lowest you can go if you want to do well in a competitive environment. It's still great without emmersblade in fun play though :)

I found E-Con's to be extremely useful as well. It serves so many multi-purposes/ outs. E-con a Darksoul you brought back with Gottom's call, take their monster for a turn and get a free search. Fullhelm- Atk into their monster, free special summon! You get attacked, just chain E-con. Just too good to ignore. Although it doesn't replace Book Of Moon, it does the job right.

@imbadboyjonny13 It was only top8 since we didn't have much time... All X-0, X-1, and only one X-2 (my friend) made top 8. And yeah I was like that too - I had no idea what to side out. I just sort of winged it lol. But I can give you what I did in general:

side out bottomless against samurai, chaos plants, other decks its not good against

side out 1 boggart in anticipation of your opponent siding veilers

side out 1 emmersblade against decks that can kill it without attacking (ryko, descendant)

side out 1-2 mst based on how much backrow your opponent is playing (dont side out against gks, sams, or dragunity!)

Obviously side out trap stuns, 7 tools, and mst against decks w/o backrow or with decree

theres more specific things, like taking out gottoms ecall and monster reborn against gks, siding cydra against gadgets and beatdown decks like gbs, etc. But there's no need to list them all - just side in what will help you against the deck, and side out what won't.
