With that kind of momentum and with no atmospheric friction, erratic zip, fizz and boom is highly unlikely. Far more likely would be to follow Newton's first law of motion, and continue in a relatively straight line. Being a Norwegian and reading the norwegian newspapers I can tell that this phenomena was seen and photographed from Trøndelag in the south to Finnmark in the north. A very long distance. If this would happen in the sky over the middle of France it would have been seen all over France. And this is no usual northern light, not even close to being that.

The SR-71 used to do something very close to that. There is a chemical called Triethylborane (TEB) in the ignition of supersonic jet engines (in the case of the SR-71, the J58 engine) that they direct inject directly into the turbo fans. It causes a poof for a few seconds because it burns at 900F which is hotter than the surrounding air. After you cut the injection, it spirals away like that. A rocket of some sort would make sense. It might also be a new agent causing extra emissions.

If this was a light source from the gound into the air, it would need a solid object to reflect off of, otherwise you woulden't see the "spiral" acting as if it was opening. dude.. im my opinion this is a proyection from the ground!! You can do this with a huge light and some spiral moving shadow over it proyected from the ground on the clouds. U can even see the light where is coming from.. this is almost like the Bat-sign from batman!! it can be done.. its no UFO... im sorry.

I've taken several pictures and identified the location 100% certain. the direction at which they are pointing in points toward the White Sea. /watch?v=NOIcifd7bZc and read the description there. it has links to the photos and their corresponding locations.
I used a norwegian map base which is more accurate than Google Maps.
and to anyone who might wonder, no, none of them point in the direction of Eiscat (or Haarp as some of you call it).

I just had a thought. Maybe this (missile?) and the Norway Spiral (Missile?) are infact missiles, but with a cloking like diffuser to make heat signature more like that of a jet taking off. The stealth bomber also diffuses its exhaust so why not a ballistic missile? I bet its to hide a launch from the satelites. Maybe the spray is just liquid to cover the heat signature. Top Secret? @911sheeple interesting theory indeed. The russians claim they can sacrifice one of the MIRV-slots on the Baluva and fit it with countermeasures designed to penetrate any existing missile-shield. This could be it. If so, it wasn't a failure at all but a marvelous success, one timed very well considering the presence of a certain someone in Oslo at the time.
Still, just a theory though. It could also very well be a spectacular-looking failure.

Haha conspiracies...get over it people there aren't any aliens projecting spirals in Norway. One of the missiles third stage rockets didn't fire causing it to gradually start spinning. If all these aliens that supposedly exist really existed, they would have made themselves public by now, and they wouldn't be doing things that have earthly explanations. They would be much more advanced than we are, so they would definitely come prepared. The government wouldn't be able to just catch them.

agreed, I have seen rockets form Edwards Air Force base that had fluorescent gas emissions that looked allot like this does. You can tell that the rocket was spinning out of control in its ascent and then finally went totally out of control the unusual glow was the phosphorus gas that allows the ground folks a chance to determine success of the test rocket my problem is look at what these idiots are shooting into the air no matter what it is...

No, they said that later, first they denied they were doing any kind of missile test. Besides, that's insane! A rocket or a missile can't make a spiral of light like that, it was so perfect, and it can leave behind a blue trace so long and big as we can see in the videos and pictures. So, an advise: DO NOT BELIEVE IN THE LIES OF THE AUTHORITIES! And try to have an open mind, don't take the easiest answer.

A "Failed missile test" - repeat it 10X & maybe you'll fall under the dark spell. They can fool some of the people, but not all of the people. The SR-71 used to do something very close to that. There is a chemical called Triethylborane (TEB) in the ignition of supersonic jet engines (in the case of the SR-71, the J58 engine) that they direct inject directly into the turbo fans. It causes a poof for a few seconds because it burns at 900F which is hotter than the surrounding air. After you cut the injection, it spirals away like that. A rocket of some sort would make sense. It might also be a new agent causing extra emissions.
