Thanks for posting this. Elden is one of a kind and over the years I am sure so many students will look back at how he touched their lives. I know that he made a difference in my children's lives. I especially related to what he said about "being there" and how you can't make a difference unless you're there. When I hear "To Sir with Love" I always think of him. He's golden....
There are no words to describe what Elden has given us all who participated in the music program at MoHS. Commitment. Hard Work. Teamwork. FUN... Pride!... It all pays off... Thanks Elden...
i feel that mr.seta (who is my teacher now btw) puts so much time and effort into the music department, i feel that he deserves my very best plus a hundred and ten percent. you can see that strive for excellence in every one of his students.
I will never forget this man. I only played for him one year, but I will NEVER forget Mr. Seta. Awesome guy. Challenged us. Loved us. Need to go back to Mo' and say thank you. - Lonnie Robinson
Hi! I'm having a leadership workshop and I'd like to show this video on my lesson on excellence. Mr. Seta is a great inspiration and I would like to share this with my trainees. Would it be possible for you to send the video to me via email or something? Please let me know asap. My workshop is next month (October 13, 2007).
wow...I'm glad I got to watch this and see that rare footage of us at Carnegie Hall in '98. I miss orchestra and Seta....Carnegie Hall is something I will NEVER FORGET. The standing ovation and just the sense of accomplishment....and being "trapped" in the elevator with Englar and Seta...once in a lifetime experience.
I cried the first time I saw this, and I'm crying again now. I am so proud to have been a part of Moanalua's music department... even though I never had Seta-sensei for an actual class, I learned so much from him...things that are still important, three years after I've stopped playing music... Thanks so much for sharing this video.
