  • I wouldn't call 20million hits within its first 24 hours of its big reveal on maemo.nokia a small amount of people that number must have multiplied a lot by now thats withpout counting of ppl discovering it on all other sites too.

Btw sorry about posting twice last night i thought my post did not send then noticed it was b/c you are moderating channel after lol

  • good tour!

But when do you breath? :)

  • Great VID!

  • Indeed - no one notices the cameraman whio is rather vital. :)

  • You for got about one little thing when saying that the N97 mini will outsell the N900. T-Mobile USA. If they subsidize this as a carrier flagship then it will sell at least a million. Don't write us off like Nokia did for years with S60.

  • A million sales wouldn't make that much of a different (well not an order of magnitude anyway). But yes the US is one market where there might be extra interest in this device (as there was for the original tablets).

  • N97 mini wont out sell n900 pueley b/c there is hardly difference in cost and most people interested in mini would already have got a N97 also the bad reputation the n97 got could also damage sales.

People are more spec aware these days too and most will know n900 owns, also pretty UI sells well. if nokia get some carrier on board the n900 will take off,but it all depends how much nokia want to push,i get the feeling they dont want to push it too much and damage there future plans on symbian

  • only thing i disagree with is him saying is97 mini will out sell the n900.

theres hardly a difference between price something like 50euro.

people are more spec aware these days and know n900 blows it out the water with its CPU+GPU and pretty UI. its all about being pretty now no matter if something else does the job just as good

  • The number of people who really know this is relatively limited. I would also expect the N900 to be ranged by fewer carriers as it is not, primarily, a phone. I wouldn't under estimate the weight issue either.

  • Can you do a full review on Nokia 5230?

  • yea...talk about true effort.

i would've fainted of fatigue after making this full tour.

    well done, rafe.

i liked that special feature of the n900 game

    nice graphics.

  • That was a great presentation. Pleasure to watch.

  • Rafe, emkwan here from the n97 launch event at Regent's St. London. thank you for such a great 2 part serious. would love to see more of your videos. great info... best wishes

  • Wow! Both parts equally as good.

Could'nt agree with you more on the N900, Very exciting times but its all too easy to get carried away with the hype untill I see 'Steve Litchfield' do a preview/review I will carry on with blissfully with Symbian.

Talking of Steve Litchfield, Why don't you do any reviews? I remember it was your review on the original N95 that made me buy it.

PS How can I become a phonee reviewer? I really want to be someone like Steve that has a weekly show

    Cheers, Seb

  • The best Nokia World '09 video tour. Period.

  • Good video Rafe, do you have an N97 as your main phone?

  • we'll done again, wish i was there... with a big empty sack

  • rafe!! you talked about all devices that will get kinetic scrolling! its awesome! BUT WHAT ABOUT 5800?? will it get kinetic scrolling and the 20 contact carousel like in the 5230 and x6??? did you find out for sure??

  • Rafe, you must have been exhausted after all that :-) Thanks!

  • Let's just say I still feel short of sleep almost a week later!

  • Wow, i actually feel like i've been there. Thx a mil rafe :)

  • Thanks, glad you like it.

  • I just miss more on the N900... its whats creating most expectation from Nokia for many people, and you dont seem to care much about it. Just a point of view... but nice video apart from that.

  • There's more on the N900 coming in due course. However bear in mind, although it exciting and new, it is still relatively niche. I don't mean to say its unimportant, just that its on the hype curve right now, and only one part of the picture.

  • Thanks man :).

    5 Stars.
