I have the trial version director9;The problem is that does not upload 1080p videos to youtube,but to create a DVD with AVCHD-1080p videos was possible.Why this difference?

I'm currently using powerdirector 9. I think after this video I will never ever use it again. When your doing "heavy" editing work the randomest of things can happen. Currently I have a video, within a video, even though I'm only playing back one of the videos. The video also has a fade in it where there is no transitional marker.

The thing works fine if your editing small things and it can make it look pretty nice. But if your doing something intensive. Look elsewhere. Many visual/audio bugs.

I have the trial version fortunatly;Its crazy that it does not upload 1080p videos to youtube!Only 740p..But Why then it Does edite and burn DVD with 1080p?!Did you try this?Anyway is so long to create a DVD!For one hour video it took me all the night and the next morning to finish it!!

I have also powerDVD10 and this even does not upload to youtube a video of 4-5 minutes!

I use power Director 10 but i m dissatisfied and disappointed by this software.It has a hard time rendering correctly and there are way too many "the program is not responding" errors.This can be very frustrating when after many hours of hard and in detail work u loose all your data due to a "hanging" PC.My PC has an Intel Core 2 quad PCU with 4 GB of memory and should handle without problems.I m seriously considering to try MAGIX MOVIE Edit Pro.

@82224561 Cyberlink Power Director NOT AT ALL it's cracked upto be.It has serious rendering issues.The more transitions/effects you use ,even if the total duration of the video isnt long ,the more it will fail to convey correctly.You will end up with blanks,static images where movement should be etc.I have thoroughly worked and tested version 6 to 10 and there was no improvement.I now have to decide between MAGIX Movie Maker and Sony Vegas Movie Studio.If u have please let me know.

@82224561 well it depends how heavy you want to get with it, i have adobe after effects now and it gives me no problems, but as to a cheaper editing software i would say Vegas and lastly if not that then, probably pinacle studio.

seems to be a familiar theme wherever i go,very poor customer support.Email only option.I downloaded trial and wow is thing terrible,so slooooooww.Totally locks the computer,can't do anything else while this is running.Took 20 min to import a 10 minute clip.I thought the computer locked up,went to make a sandwich and let it run,came back and seen it was still importing.

I have 8 gig mem, and i7 870 cpu with a AMD 6950, and over 5 terrabyts of HHD drives, and this program crashes every 5 minutes, shear frustration.

PowerDirector 9 64 bit is the BEST video editing sofware out there. 4 gig or more of fast ram, quick processor, you'll be fine. The program WORKS. We have done all there is with this software, it works and is easy to use. Capture from DV camera, no problem. Import .mts files from a new flash HD video camera, no problem. 99% of these issues are due to weak PC hardware. Upgrade and stop griping.

i will click on my file in the library and it looks really good in the preview screen and clear, but once i drag it down into my timeline, the file is really blurry and unclear and looks terrible.

@wtfm4te It lowers the resolution while you create the video, but once it's done, the resolution will be as clear as the original video

Sucks ! During the Create Disc phase of creating a DVD, I get the error message "Burning unsuccessful. Error code:e8007000E. Not enough storage is available to complete this operation." Does this refer to RAM or disc storage? I have 2 giagabytes of RAM. The program is 23 minutes long and takes 1609 MB of DVD storage. I'm running Windows XP. What do I need to do to burn a DVD. I have checked the box for "Create a folder" on the "Final Output" Screen. My hardrive is 200 gb and 154 gb are free !

@1DoodleGod Is it really laggy? Much depends on the power of your PC. Video editing software, and it's ability to preview smoothly is a factor of your CPU level, graphic card level and to some extent the quantiy and speed of the RAM you are using. But I personally find the 64-bit version of PD9 to be very responsive on my system.

@found817 I would suggest goin to the Cyberlink Community forum, because you should provide more information to diagnose the freezing. It may be becuse of the AVI video file...they are not all the same and it may be the culprit. It could also be an outdated graphic driver as well. Most often it is your source video that needs to be explored in more detail. Find the forum and post your question. Cap'n Kevin

@found817 It is probably one of two factors, the power of your hardware setup(CPU, RAM, Graphic Card), or the type of video files you are using to edit with. These play an important role in editing smoothly in the preview window. You would have to provide more details on your PC and the video files you are using to get a better idea of what you should expect for performance. But it is very common for people to attempt to edit High Definition video on an under powered PC.

@squeakmo1 Works great on Windows 7 in 32-bit or 64-bit platforms..There are 150 different Transitions to choose from, you cannot download additional transitions....There are additional DVD Menus that can be downloaded through the Director Zone, which are free or you can purchase additional menus through Cyberlink.

BUT I need a few things on the editing system.

I need to be able to change the pitch WITHOUT shortening the video(for MUSIC).

Also to play 2 videos at once. I know Pinnacle does this. I just want to know if PowerDirector does.
