I wish they would deploy FiOS here in Springfield, Mass. Comcast internet works much better than DSL. I have Comcast Digital Voice as well. If FiOS comes to town, it will keep cable rates in check.

I still have my FIOS and TIme Warner in my home. The speeds on my FIOS are the same as Time Warner. Fios said if i wanted FASTER speeds i have to pay more. I was charge for a Service call because I don't have a service contract with Verizon. My FIOS went out and I had to wait 3 days for Verizon to come. They said my splitter was bad in the apt, hello i didn't install it, Verizon did. Customer service gave me a hard time to get my refund back of $85.00. Time Warner service calls "FREE".
This building is on 3rd avenue in the 90's st. Time Warner's FIBER is also in the Basement. Verizon has a long way to go. I have FIOS T.V. and Time Warner in my home. Same Pictures and great sound on Both,the only problem is Verizon is more Money and yes the picture do break up. If you put Direct TV and FiOS together..same picture's. and you still need a Converter no matter which cable service you have. Time Warner better bang for your dollar,FIOS TAXES and fee's OUCH. everything is going up...
That's a beautiful installation... and it should stay that way because with fiber, you won't have every handyman and jack of all trades messing around with the wiring turning it into a nightmare as they've been doing with copper ever since premises wiring has been transferred to the subscriber +/- 20 years ago.
In theory anyway...
