This isn't a history. And worse, it begins with Pong, which was not the beginning of video games.  Even if you want to mark it as the "first" video game, there was stuff happening as early as 20 years before that that laid the ground work for what Pong did.

@MetalFanx2000 u have a cashopolis in your area? they most likely have a super nintendo on hand, with some games...if not, then some gaming stores take old consoles, refurbish them, and sell them for a good price. sega dreamcast? im not sure where you can find one, but again, some gaming shops sell old gaming consoles too.

@MrNamegame Actually, finding these consoles isn't a big deal, there's this Swedish website called gamereplay.se where you can buy used fully working consoles online. So finding them isn't a big deal. It's just the financial problem. But as soon as I scrape together for a SNES, I'm buying it.

otherwise, if it's too expensive, then don't buy it. that guy is just another guy desperate for money. but then again, you're lucky if the guy is selling it for 5 bucks! just be cautious, though...the console might not work too well if it's extremely cheap! just giving you a tip...

@MrNamegame Haha, I know :) The problem is that an SNES is not that easy to find here where I live. Meybe if I lived further south, perhaps in Stockholm it would be easier. Finding a fully working PAL marked Super Nintendo here is pretty hard. Not becuse it's rare, but becuse people does not wanna sell them. And I can see why.

@MetalFanx2000 i have a working NTSC snes down here in fort quappelle, but the power brick is almost done, and the controllers are pretty worn out, so they don't respond well to button presses. we had the thing ever since i was born, and im surprised it still works, being that the power brick is on life support (literally). but yeah, i understand the rarity of a snes/super famicom (another name for the PAL snes)in your area. finding a snes up there is as hard as heck.

@MetalFanx2000 i agree! if you don't have the right drivers, or the right graphics card or whatever, then your emulatore screws up. i have an ATI RAGE 128 PRO graphics card, and on the title screen of sm64, mario's head is completely black, although the cannon crosshairs and game text bubbles are white! other than that, i don't have any problems with the emulator. at least the cheat codes work, unlike every other computer i have used this emulator on.

@MetalFanx2000 and the reason i say be careful what you buy? well, one day i went to buy a new snes (as i thought my current one wasn't working at the time), and i bought this snes for 20 bucks.....the controller port was effed up badly! the controls didn't work right....the d-pad barely did anything, yet all the other buttons worked just fine, besides the fact that every once in a while the controls went apeshit. so i decided to play my old snes, just for shits and giggles, and it worked again!
