  • wow, its weird to read someone describe EXACTLY how my horse used to be. how old is holly? my horse was exactly the same, would just run and rear into the jump and demolish them, it all ended when we rotationally fell and he fell ontop of me and trod on my face and neck as he got up. he had 4 months of jumping, and now he's come back better than ever! he's still a bit silly, but so much more careful! i wish you all the best with her! xx

  • @hannahtillyx she was 5 in march :)

ouch :/ following this she had 2 weeks+ off jumping and has come back better then ever and calm! so fingers crossed she continues! :)x

  • @willow4life07 yeaah my horse is just six :) oh thats good, well good luck with her! x

  • ^^ yes, you"re dead right :P

  • @zuzanka244 :P

  • omg... what she doing ! O.o.

  • @zuzanka244 jumping...?

  • aww bless her :) i really didn't see that rear coming!! Looked like it came out of nowhere! :O Well sat and very well ridden :) xx

  • How stress full is that!!! My horse used to/still does this and OMFG i just want to beat the shit out of him and tell him hes making it harder for both of us lol. Keep going hun, id die for a horse with looks like her!! stunning. Where did you get her from may i ask? xxx

  • @milliesos very :/ yeaa- following this she wasn't jumped for two weeks. we sorted out her rearing and taught her some manners, working on her flatwork and getting her to respect the rider more. She was jumped for the first time following this yesterday and didn't put a foot wrong!

    thank you :):)

we bought her off a private seller, but she originally came from Holland :) the stud has some really long, complicated deutch name :Lx

  • love love LOVE your horseyyy :D

  • shes got a great jump on her

she just loves it a bit to much haha xxx

  • Wow, i would be stright off panacking and refusing to get back on, even after one of the little ones let alone the massive rear :-O you did amazingly well to stay on her and you even looked quite calm and collected, and just jumped it.♥ like you said in the description when she is going over it she is lovely yes but you deal with her so well, from the situation you were in :) ♥ you rode really really well :) xxxx

  • good job staying on all of those just dont pull on her mouth when she rears she might flip backwards just lean on her neck when she does.

  • @iluvhorsesjna thanks- but i normally don't pull her- just she completely took me by surprise on the massive one, i was completely caught off guard!

  • @willow4life07 i bet!!! haha my horse was walking with her head down and she heard something and reared and flipped backwards i was on her neck but it shows u if they really want to they will flip over anyway

  • Good idea about the bootcamp! Then once you've got the flatwork calm you can introduce poles and wings hopefully without risking death ;) Stick at it, you'll definitely get there you're coping SO well with her :) xxx

  • God your bloody brave!! Good luck with boot camp, she thinks she's a bit of a princess!

  • You Handle Her Sooo Well !!! Your Doing The Right Thing Giving Her Weeks of Just Flat Work I Mean Her Scopey Jump With Never Leave Her :) We Gave Sophie A Few Months Of Jumping And She Came Back More Balanced And Was Capable Of Jumping 1m05/10 as shes was only 4/5 at the Time :) xxx

  • good idea to keep her flatting until she learns to respect more, you control her so well and are very patient! x

  • well ridden! she doesnt look easy haha but umps lovely!x

  • that massive audience can't have helped aha! I HATEEE when people stand and watch me, absolutely hate it, it totally puts me off.

once she's jumping she's actually very calm and soft by the look of things! Typical mare haha! You're coping really well with her, good on you! :) x

  • well done that was a huge!!!!!! rear :P

  • my goddd that rear is terrifying. good idea to put her in "boot camp", i think you're doing making the right decision <3 xxx
