I mean get somebody who's interested in who they are speaking with who has a bit of knowledge of music/ even likes the same music as the subject and is able to not get starstruck and able to ask a question outside of what the latest release is so the interview can be complete and performer and fans will like doing /watching it. The closest band today who also gets dumb interviewers is the Horrors...

It was the downtown area and she was grabbing some take-out and she saw Joey and just said hi and he said hi and then he asked her what a fa-jy-ta was, of course it was a fajita and she corrected him with a smile and he was so cute about it, natch. He held my hand at a show in 1979. Such a lovely young man, that Joey.

Me on camera/video for this shoot. It was shot in Arturo's apt around the corner from CBGB's. Just before the interview, Joey taped a message to Oedipus. What you see here was the "practice" run-through. The actual message we were not allowed to record. I took tons of photos through the eve, especially the Oedipus thingie. First time I saw the Ramones (CBs), Talking Heads opening for them (6/20/75), with about 12 people in the audience. Magic evening, first of many.
