Damn right, The Mr. Eric Braeden has always impressed me. He is a professional, progressive thinking man with a zero tolerance policy for BULLSHIT. I admire this icon of television history and I totally agree with his view. And no, I am not a a frequent chronic toker. It is just common sense. People are already smoking the herb, so it seems only logical to tax the shit and bring in a great deal of much-need revenue for California, as well as other states.
Newfound respect for this guy, he's really smart, thats why he plays his character so well on Y&R. I don't do drugs or anything but what he said could really help the economy.
I love this. Eric is right. Taxes could be collected and the pot trade would be taken out of the hands of criminals. People are getting killed in Mexico. Prohibition does not work. Why is the American government so stubborn?
What Eric said is true. Drinking causes violent behavior in some but pot smokers are mellow.
I really don't know much about marijuana except what it can do for cancer....I don't use any recreational drugs and I have no desire to.....I like being in my right mind and in control.. however if this drug has the potential to cause psychotic side effects which would interfere with the operation of machinery, vehicles, ability to care for children...etc...then it shouldn't be legalized...
I am blown away...I knew VICTOR was a chronic! You can see it in his eyes. He is a well spoken individual and has a lot of commonsense and knowledge. Well done Victor/Eric!
Once again, weed is idiotically lumped into the same category as alcohol. They are NOT the same substance and should not be compared in terms of "intoxication". People that drive around stoned do NOT cause traffic fatalities. I have never in all of my days heard of anyone driving recklessly, erratically, and at extreme speed on cannabis. Am I saying it never happens? No. But it is not a result of smoking, it is coincidental or as a result of being intoxicated on something else as well.
My grandmother has watched "The Young & The Restless" for over about 25 years & she loves this man Eric Braeden. She is also ignorant & strongly opposed to cannabis legalization. The fact that this man is for cannabis legalization makes me chuckle. I love it really.
@CannabisEducation420 i'm would you their it is starting to look promising i am really happy seeing all the people who are talking out about it. from pot users to cops to doctors & politicians & famous all for legalizing.
@CannabisEducation420 My mum's watched it for like 30 years or something and has recently sucked me into it. I'm pretty sure she'd lol if she saw this video, but alas she does not have internet. Even so I think she'd probably agree with him. I don't see much of a problem with it being legalized. S:
Who would you rather prefer? A drunk dehind the wheel or a pot smoker behind the wheel? I would say the pot smoker.

Nobody has the right to deny a person with a chronic or terminal illness the use of a plant with the longest history as a medicine.
Watch 'Run from the Cure' by Rick Simpson. Happy birthday to Rick, and to me!

@Ellersiek Ditto here. If we can treat alcohol in a mature fashion, why not apply the same to "pot"?
