Really surprised at how bad Buckethead's playing is on this clip. There are flat bends all over the place. Years of playing at warp speed seem to have eroded his sense of melody.
Absolutely terrible solo. That made a mockery of Slash's hard work on that solo. When Slash plays it, it's got feeling, when this "shredder" plays it, it don't mean shit. People may play something perfect, but if it has no feeling, it's just not good at all.

Axl is singing the same here as on the album...his voice is perfect here..what's the problem..He has a unique voice,he was never the greatest singer the world saw....but it worked well with the songs he created....His voice was crappy in 2006 n a lil before that..but he's been great overall

A large portion of the solo was Robin Finck. You know, the guy with the zippered pants. Buckethead performed the solo at the end, obviously, and he sounded every bit as good as anyone else can play it. That solo is a simple cover tune to him. Might as well have been Smoke on the Water to Buckethead.
im sure that slash dont like or co-wrote the song. Axl plays guitar too, and if he say that wrote the song by himself and no one denied it proprably it's true. The song is pretty old, and since slash stated that the solo of the song (he didnt say wich, but is proprably this) that he plays is the same of the first time he heard it. So, if any guitarrist wrote the solo instead of Axl is proprably Tracii Guns or Izzy Stradlin and for some reason let axl take the credit.
axl has lost his voice, he can´t sing like 20 years ago, sorry for him, he was one of the better front man but that was another time, and all the songs are played maybe 1 tone down, it´s very easy to know it, just listen and compare with the originals.

I love Slash's solos with GNR, but we have to admit that they're child's play for BH. They are both good at what they do, but in different styles of music.

Qdo será que vamos poder apreciar BH sem comparações a Slash e vice versa???? mesmo pq quem compara é burro, pois são 2 guitarristas totalmente diferentes, Slash criou riffs antológicos, e foi um guitarrista comercial, BH criou riffs fabulosos, porém nunca se importou com mídia, acho que seria justo vcs discutirem esse Robert Flinck, que não consegue tirar um solo direito do Slash, ao contrario de BH que pode qualquer coisa, pois é genio!!!!!

trololol this is a really bad quality film oviously some one has filmed off of a tv. im reading some of the coments they are saying that the song was better with slash in it. its the same song nothing has changed buckethead plays it exactly how slash does it the only difference is that this is live so its going to be less quality then the studio version it always is. its has nothing to do with bucketheads playing its because the acoustics of whereever they are playing are terrible.

Buckethead is freaking impressive, not just for his playing but the fact that he can wear that mask, wig and bucket on his head and still be able to focus completely on his guitar, now that is skill when you think of it.

Tired of all the comparisons. Boring! Besides, If I were Buckethead on that stage on that performance, who would feel inspired to play well.?? Axl was way off on his vocals..made the whole thing sound crappy from the start..I wouldn't feel inspired to play either.

lol your all wrong. Slash can't touch buckethead technical guitar like, but his passion for GnR is what gives him the spotlight he has. Buckethead is just so damn good that he doesn't need to be a prick, or go out of his way for the spotlight. He obviously hides himself because he's not arrogant. He has more heart and passion for his instrument than 95% of other guitarists.

@bassarchfiend You must be deaf. Slash is a better guitarist by far. Far more innovative and groovy and beautiful than Buckethead's technical, experimental style. You can take the riff and solo from Estranged and compare it to Soothsayer. If you think Soothsayer is more emotional, you have wax in your ears.

@YouGotSubbed i just think people play slash up too much so now hes more of a character than guitarist, buckethead however, hides himself with a blank mask so people pay attention to his music rather than him, slash's guitar solos are pretty standard for bands like that and buckethead may be more skilled.
