What is so special about a crane suspended giant spider that takes 11 or so operators to move some poorly constructed legs that don't even hold it up?! A retarded monkey missing half his brain could put something like that together. In fact, where's the plans....
Spiders use their legs to walk on. This heavy thing seeme to imitate a spider, but uses a truck behind for its movements. No engineering-work into it, except for making the thing hold together and make people go O.o
waste of money paid for by the people liverpool for the enjoyment of yuppies and the company who mad it have taken it china ...liverpool paid for it liverpool should benefit from it not the company whou built the thing capital of culture my arse 1 massive show for yuppies nothing on for the ordinary folk of liverpool yuppies go back to your big houses and leave the dent people alone
Hi, the music is called 'Er Bongo' from a copyright free music CD called 'Home Video CD' by BVG. Thanks for your comment, sorry for the late reply! :-)
Great video of La Machine really captures the moment. We miss her so much we are thinking of going on holiday to Nantes in France so we can pay her a visit next summer!
Have just seen a pathetic BBC 30min special it was awful but yours captures the magic and wierdness so well. I WAS there and this WAS La Machine. 10/10 (hope you got the final act???)
Oh...it's on the back of a moving vehicle. Sad. I thought it was walking by itself....meh not that impressive.

Why is that guy at 5:52 more interested in filming his girlfriend than the giant spider-thing?

Extra ++++++ To them for playing the music live!

A giant crane spider water gun, how innovative I agree it would have been more of a spectacle if the spider could carry it's own weight.

Not bad. Compared to animatronic spiders, this one looks way impressive. Liverpool sure has a main attraction in this spider-thing. ^_^

For some reason that spider just made my life a little better.
