I've heard some smaller Leslies that had bass, but lacked a good rumble and had too much of a punch. This really captures the rumble nicely while maintaining clarity. :)
Incredible!! That sounds so incredible!! Great job! I am about to purchase a Hammond M143 from a friend and would love to build one of these for it. Would you be willing to share a schematic and/or parts list? I can glean some of the specs from your website but perhaps not all.
I particularly admire the inverted "V" dual woofer arrangement. Most people would have just attenuated the horn to match the weak single woofer. Wow. Inspirational to DIY musician/engineers everywhere.
@jcowboy123, if you want to hear a song with progression try Ray Charles' version of 'Georgia on my mind' or just about any cheesy gospel/blues knock off track.
that is sweet. may i ask how much it cost you to build this, assuming i have the proper tools? i would build something more like the fender vibratone though, because i think it would be easier to build and to transport.
hey! I have an M-143 and I'm trying to do the whole DYI leslie with it. Could you tell me from where I can get a simple pos/neg output? Oh and down there, one beneath, is that you bubus from the organ forum? If so, this is newb!
Wow. Just the sound I'm looking for with my M. I've had a couple of sub-standard sounding projects, would you mind sharing just briefly what went into this one? Excellent job anyway, and it looks the part too.
