  • watched this clip about a hundred times and I just caught bonzo jumping into the air...look for him at 0:45... amazing

  • Wow! The greatest clip of zep in prime I've ever seen. i play this very loud and in full screen mode many times over and over.

  • You know what's missing from music now? No, it's not talent, musicianship, inspiration, passion, creativity (well it is all those things) but what's really missing is SWEATER VESTS!!

  • I'd go as far to say this is my favourite video on youtube (:

  • Plants voice then had a depth and solidity that I dont really hear in later years. Really like hearing him sing on this footage and other Albert Hall stuff. Just a straight ahead, no bull shit, rock band then, before the whole rock god, Crowley stuff came in.

  • @gab99 couldn't agree more

  • power, and precision, quite simply the best rock and roll band ever

  • Bonzo jumps at 0:46

    LoL

  • Eddie Cochran is the man.

  • Bonzo seems going blow up the drums harder he hit. an Animal behind drums!!!

there was no replace for bonzo :/

  • what kind of guitar is that?

  • @ledzeppelin4304 Gibson les paul custom black beauty with a bigsby. Was stolen from Jimmy in 1970.

  • 1.49 sorry but ... :D look at robert s face and listen to voice (sorry for my english)

  • Hey who pinched bonzo's ass? lol (;

  • As a 50's rocker I dont normally like covers but THIS is nae bad

  • This is a song by eddie cochran. The who also covered a song by the same guy called summertime blues. The led can really take some early rock stuff and kick out the jams.

  • too much rock n roll here to handle, head explodes

  • Justin Bieber's penis is the size of the dislike bar.

  • @packeropie Hmm, Original. Try that line somewhere were JB is still popular...Oh wait, theres no where he's still popular. His 15 minutes are over, time to get over him.

  • @PBANDSNOW A. why does it matter WHERE I post that line. B. what do I have to get over? I have never liked justin bieber, in fact I think this might be the first time I've ever posted a Bieber related comment anywhere for that matter. I don't really understand what you're trying to say with YOUR douchy comment.

  • gotta love everything on this performance , also the audience is perfect , one of the 10 best moments in rock history (maybe The best , the whole concert is BRILLIANT !)

  • gotta love bonzo's jump!

  • i just learn these two brilliant rock n roll numbers , try to hear out the solos , because they are SOO hot , i really like to play this

  • EDDIE COCHRAN

  • I love those lines at 1:57 .

~well were gonna have a party but we otta put a guard outside.

    Only Zeppelin!

  • @poopy1239 this is a remake of a 1958 Eddy Cochran song- not an original Zeppelin tune.

  • @poopy1239 Only Cochran

  • Not gonna lie, not a massive fan of zepplin. I have respect for them (OBVIOUSLY) but this made my day :)

  • The Highpriests of rock n roll music

led zeppelin are such big legends they will always shine

  • I have watched alot of concerts in person and on youtube , but this one really is something else. There is something about these dudes that sets them apart ! Sure they have the chops but the stage presence each member carries just makes it impossible not to watch . And they are just a bunch of kids here ! But they had something and they knew it , you can see and hear the confidence and youth and vitality. I dont wish for fame but it must have been great to be those guys at that time.

  • Did rock and roll ever get any better than this? Really?

  • Awesome sounding LP custom.

  • love the hair Bobert

  • check out bonzo --- this is how the wave started. lol about :45 in, watch it, he's so cool.

  • Uuunnnbbeelliieevvabblle

  • cmon everybody this song is something else!!!

  • Somethin' Else is meant to have Jonesy on the piano, just like the bbc version... Still epic though

  • I can't Imagine my high school experience without this DVD. Life changing.

  • Comment removed

  • @RayWilliamJohnston I am your biggest fan.

  • And people say Jonesy isnt a good bas player... The guys who say it must be "you know who" fans.

  • @leopomweb who the fuck says that?

  • 24 people are Lady Gaga fans

  • what is this bullshit why would any live Led Zeppelin video even have a dislike button on youtube

  • Ever since I bought this dvd its the only thing I watch

  • @RayWilliamJohnston

I can obviously tell you're a fake account! Anybody can tell the difference between JOHNSON and JOHNSTON!... go back to Trolling school..

  • if led zeppelin did a punk album, this is what it would sound like:)

  • PRICELESS! :)

  • have the cd bootleg of this, is there a possible better version out there or do i just have to fiddle with the audio?

  • look at that les paul ... oh ,you are.

  • Perfect tribute to Eddie Cochran, even though I prefer the original versions.

  • these covers are great! but i prefer the original version (:

  • i wish that someday i will be able to get that guitar tone

  • This Combination. <3

  • @PONYBOY430 Why talk about him then.

  • i think punk hate zeppelin or sabbath because people always made them as a standard in Rock Band. I mean, when you're trying to play the rock song, people said "oh, Zeppelin and Sabbath are better than you!". People always trying to be Led Zeppelin or Black Sabbath. They didn't like it. they wanted to be free. So, they made a movement. Punk. i don't know much about Punk. but, i think people have their own ways to express something.

  • @zzy66613 Thats one of the only TRUE responses to that comment. Real punk I mean, Clash, Pistols Ramones.

  • I meant it was cool for a while for punks to hate on Zeppelin. Most respect them nowadays. I grew up in the Washington DC hardcore scene and constantly found myself at odds with my friends who hated Zeppelin and Sabbath because some overzealous straight edge virgin arsehole told them to.

  • @TheGreaterGood80 Back then, bands like Zeppelin and Sabbath epitomized the old guard of Rock and Roll...sort of the authority that needed overthrown. It was just part of the Punk movement to hate on these bands, especially once Johnny Rotten wore an "I hate Pink Floyd" shirt. (Zeppelin is the greatest band ever, for my money.)

  • Can't beilive I havn't heard this song before,I though I had heard everything as far as Zeppelin goes,This made my day!

  • @ryan2151993 the same here

  • @ryan2151993 Probably cause u havent seen the royal albert concert.

  • @peruvian4041 I've seen the majority of it.

  • @ryan2151993 awesome ;)

  • rock and fucking roll

  • 0:47 Love the way Bonham pops out of his seat lol.

  • Irado! Led é a Melhor Banda de Todos Os Tempos!!

    They never gonna die =o)

  • kurt cobain got his intro to negative creep from2:38 : )

  • @understated2010 Negative Creep was based on of Spank Thru

  • @PBANDSNOW i wasn't being serious but okay. spank thru is good too

  • I love it at :48 when Bonzo jumps off his stool...pure joy at playin' Eddie Cochran!!!!

GREAT POST...Thanks to you & You Tube. Great to be able to view this & to be alive in the age of the internet!!!

  • 0:47 Bonham jumping off of his seat. You can tell that all 4 of em loved to play theses songs, JPJs even smiling. :)

  • That chick in the front wants to sleep with Plant so bad.

  • @Oallright So...?

  • @Oallright she slept with all of them.

  • I love this because it's so rare that JPJ is smiling throughout the whole song... It's clear how much the whole band loved these tunes.

  • epic

  • Le canzoni di Eddie Cochran suonate dagli ZEPPELIN...una favola

  • Bonzo's kick drum might be bigger than Plants' head.....though, not by much...

  • PUNK.....NO?

  • primo zeppelin the rock monolith

heights like this were seldom reached after this period

not only in music but also image style and substance

  • primo zeppelin the rock monolith

heights like this were seldom reached after this period

  • god i love jimmy page's intro to this ssong!!

  • lol! 0:48 Bonzo leaps right of his throne.

  • my favorite live zepp performance.. and my favorite les paul... oh how i do want one...

  • Bring me the empty heads of the 23 idiots who dislike this!!!!!

  • RIP Bonzo !

  • JPJ and Bonzo are like a train on She's Somethin Else

  • i like zep more when i heard this,I am an Eddie Cochran freak I admit

  • 23 ppl probaly like gayass greenday and shit

  • DAMN!! i love this shit!

  • 50 megatons of TNT ! ! ! ! ! !

  • That girl up front with the missing tooth is pretty cute. Jimmy probably banged her.

  • @fretlesschimp I think her tooth got rocked out during the first solo.

  • so my mom asked me if I wanted to go to church with her this morning

i told her , mom you know the only gods I worship are Led Zeppelin!

  • @ymanhand omg....i think this is the best comment on youtube...really

  • @ymanhand Led Zeppelin was the first and last rock group but last time i checked gods don't drown in their own vommit after drinking vodka.

  • @ymanhand And also because Led Zeppelin are actually real.

  • Wow

  • 0:31 get it JPJ!

  • @68SSCAM no i meant the songs. and thanks! i'll have to check it out.

  • and how come i have never heard this before? my new favorite i absolutely love this!

  • @JimmyPageZepFan You should have heard Something Else on BBC Sessions... not this version though if thats what you meant

  • JPJ is fuckin killin the bass

  • This is why rock is the best.Nothing can compare, except for good jazz and blues, and some classical...but,I digress.Totally caught Bonzo jumping.Old JP looks pretty stoked, too.

  • 23 people are something else.

  • This is the most bad ass video I've ever seen. FUCK!

  • A great tribute to Eddie Cochran. He'd be totally rockin' from the grave listening to this....

  • led zep revisite les classiques sans bavures!!!!!!!!!

    fringues et look d'epoque!!!!!!!!!!!

  • led zep revisite les classiques sans bavures!!!!!!!!!

  • 22 people refer to led zeppelin as 'he' Lame!

  • 22 Poor bastards...

  • listen 2 jp jp jones on bass,he's holding this together

  • @hoikevinhoi is sid still dead ?

  • their finest hour

  • This footage dominates.

  • I have mixed emotions about this version some parts I love and some I hate

  • Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham created the fucking definition of sex god.(:

  • 22 people definately arent something else

  • When in Band of Joy, Bonzo lept as you see here, hence them using to name band...

  • EVERYBODY GET LOOSE!!!

  • It's a 41, not a 59......

  • haha bonzo

  • Eddie Cochran should be proud. :)

  • Good quality from 1970, image and sound !!!!

  • they set the fucking bar so high.nobody ever cut Zeps head.wonderful!

  • Plant: Come on, everybody, and let's get together to...... (shit, too low, let's just headbang!) *headbang*

  • And this is apparently supposed to be Heavy metal... how stupid people can get. Metal couldn't stand a chance to this.

  • @CentraCross someone who understands. thank you sir.

  • lol he dowent know the words to something else :P

  • @thekinginblackk He sings it differently every time, doesn't he. And never the same as the original. lol

  • 22 people don't now what rock n' roll is

  • And to think it was cool for a while for punks to hate Led Zeppelin. This is clearly early proto-punk

  • @TheGreaterGood80 A lot of punks liked Zeppelin. Topper Headon of the clash was a zep fan, all of the ramones were zep fans (communication breakdown was the song that gave them the idea) the only one punk who hated them was Johnny Rotten...but thats ok because hes Johnny Rotten

  • @PBANDSNOW haha ya Johnny Rotten is a dick. he's really one to talk to isn't he, with his ONE album that the sex pistols made. what a self involved prick.

  • @packeropie Its a great album though, undeniably one of the most important rock albums of all time, but Zeppelin man...ZEPPELIN!

  • @PBANDSNOW ya for sure. Nevermind the Bullocks is a very important album, especially in the punk rock genre, but thats ALL that they did, and here's Johnny Rotten getting a big head and doin stuff like turning down the rock and roll HOF (which I don't think the sex pistols even deserved when bands like KISS are still not in and Sabbath had to wait a bunch of years past their eligibility) and dissin zep...it's like "who does this guy think he is?"

  • @PBANDSNOW AND YA, IT'S ZEPPELIN MAN!!!! :)

  • @packeropie

    let's not forget PiL.

  • @PBANDSNOW yep, not to mention Black Flag, Killing Joke, etc. I recall Paul Simonon trash talking them based on their album covers. And Johnny Rotten? He was a David Bowie and Hawkwind worshiper who decided to put on a bad boy persona because Malcolm McLaren told him it would be fashionable.

  • @TheGreaterGood80 Part of what you said is true. Johnny Rotten trashed them not because Malcolm McLaren told him too, he did it because he legit HATED stadium bands, thats why the the only real stadium they ever played was their last show. And Paul Simonon did trash Led Zeppelin I, but he only liked reggae anyways, even if he had heard the album he would have disliked it.

  • @TheGreaterGood80

    You're right dude.

  • @TheGreaterGood80

    just read yer comment......right on!!!!

  • Dee Dee Ramone couldn'ta down stroked it bett'a

  • @TheGreaterGood80 shows how narrow minded punks really are

  • @TheGreaterGood80 I don't know what ur talking about cuz im punk and ive always love Zeppelin

  • @TheGreaterGood80 As were The Beatles. It had nothing to do with musical genres - the punks just hated all mainstream rock.

  • @CentraCross No true at all. Most were heavily influenced by mainstream. They were disenchanted by all these huge monster arena rock bands that could care less about the fans.

  • @TheGreaterGood80 - Punks hate anybody who actually possesses musical skill & talent!

  • @StompingRabbits that's what makes them punks..i'm sure you've all called someone who is a hater a punk

  • @GDuBMuSiCk - No, in this context the word "Punk" isn't about child like bad behavior, "Punk' in this context is Rock-N-Rolls bastard offspring and many of the people who play it lack musical talent but not all of them!

  • @StompingRabbits Yeah, a lot can't play and that's why they're jealous of the power that Zeppelin had. Punk can be a cool style if it's not abused, like everything else in life. Ska is kinda like punk and reggae combined.

  • Fuck I miss Bonham - the heavy footed drummer (loved to use the kick drum a lot) that just rocked!!!

  • 3:58 - 4:04 john does a total blast beat :D

  • John Ritchie is better :P

    Joke xD

    Sid was innocent

  • Amazing stuff!

  • BEST BAND EVER, GODS OF ROCK N' ROLL

  • robert pazzo! :)

  • Pure Zeppelin gold

  • I'm gonna bring back argyle sweaters....

  • @lilvjdude get me one

  • @lilvjdude They've been back for a while:)

  • darn the like button were's the love button?

  • I used to love Zepellin until I became interested in 50s rock and roll back in 1972. The Eddie Cochran version is superb in its own right, Zepellins version is in a different category altogether,

  • JIMMY GOD!

  • Bonham jumping = :-)

  • what amaze in this stage is the simplicity opposite to the graet hammer of the sounds ! Days were the band and only what they were capable to do count in fact none a circus 360 spectacle needed!

  • I just love the combo of 1950's Rockabilly and 1960's Hard Rock/Heavy Metal.

  • @emanuel319

    uhhh this was 70's

  • @luthierjustin1 1970.

  • gotta love that black beauty!

  • Just fuckin rocking!!!!

  • LUV this video, so bad ass!

  • im high riight now and this is awesome

  • I also have to throw a bone to Eddie Cochran here, the "grandfather of hard rock"--what other 50s rocker had the likes of Led Zeppelin, Blue Cheer, Sex Pistols, Humble Pie, and the Who covering their songs?

  • For all his "hippy-ness", I like to think of Robert Plant as a "throwback" to the 50s hepcats: He had the gyrations of Elvis Presley and the wild blonde curly haired look of Jerry Lee Lewis! Look at an old video of Jerry Lee, you'll see an "uncanny" resemblance to Plant when his "slicked back" hair curls down while he plays!

  • 0:47 - bonzo is the fuckin boy

  • i have a signed picture of Page and thats the only way i knew his birthday, january 9th, thats when this concert took place.
