  • crying wolf isnt there when you load the game :/

  • use a stun grenade launcher for rapid psych depletion,

  • @frankyagernull Hahahahaha! Some jokes just kill me. There's no way to use a stun grenade launcher. I mean, I could imagine the idea of using the M4's grenade launcher capabilities, but they surely didn't allow the use of STUN grenades to be used as ammo for it..... Right?

  • @vgman94 Flash bang grenades then. Whatever you might call them.

  • @frankyagernull Alright, I'll stop being coy. Can you use Stun Grenades for Grenade launcher ammo? If so: How?

  • @vgman94 Yeah, never mind, they are stun grenades. And yes you can. Open up the weapons menu, press triangle on the grenade launcher then you will see the different types of rounds it can use. buy the desired stun rounds, equip the grenade launcher and highlight over the grenade launcher and press circle repetitively to cycle through the different types of grenade rounds.

  • @frankyagernull Wow. Sounds extremely useful. In theory, it might even help you avoid alerts. Also, another question I REALLY need answered; Where can I find some healing iPod songs? I looked around in Vista Mansion and couldn't find anything. When I got to the bottom area where there looks to be construction materials and rats, there was nothing. I heard there's another, my question about both is where and how?

  • @vgman94 It doesn't really. it makes a big bang when you shoot it and it draws a lot of attention. I don't know much on where to find iPod songs but, I will say this, When your psyche gauge is full, try standing still in a crouched or prone position. This will slowly regenerate health. this works well in boss fights when you have them in a fixed position. It goes up while shooting turning your body (but not changing location) and throwing grenades. If an enemy is behind you turn the cam and aim.

  • @frankyagernull I do try, but it takes too long. Considering the Big Boss Emblem is on a tight time limit, it's not very practical. I could also download the Metal camo from the extras menu as it cuts damage in half (or so they say), but I'm sure I have to be connected to the internet to be able to do it. I'm willing to, but it'd take time to find the info to log in (wrote it down, but forgot where it was) and it's only practical for the rail shooter sections like Act 3's bike ride and Act 2's

  • @vgman94 Oooo, I did not know the metal camo did that. Thanks for that tip. =P. I'm on the same boat as you trying to get that emblem. I'm barely training for every part right now.

  • @frankyagernull I've read about it but never have seen it in action, so I have NO idea if it's true or not. I'm Hoping, really, really hoping it's true (about the Metal Camo), or else I'm pretty much screwed if I get to Act 3's bike section. I'm on my second playthrough with Solar Gun and emotion ammo, trying to go through the game with no kills for the bandanna. I can't go through with no alerts to save my life... Also, I heard about other DLC camos that knock out enemies with one physical...

  • @frankyagernull ... With one physical attack. CQC or a roll, punch and the like. That one is called the Snake Camo. Another one, listed after the Metal Camo, is called the Gear camo, which is supposed to be able to decrease psyche loss and possibly life (I might be getting it confused with Metal, though) as well as keep a higher camo index. The Crying/water camo is supposed to be good for water. That's all I can say as far as helpful camos go.

  • @vgman94 I have all of those camo but I haven't used any of them. xD

  • @frankyagernull Oh, my God. LOL. I guess the automatic OctoCamo is just too good, eh? Can't blame you. Though sometimes, soldiers catch me no matter what I do. I get seen and I don't know where from or get an alert from something I did and don't understand how/why. Let me guess, a yelly ring that looks like an explosion on the radar is how much noise I make. That's good to know. If I can gauge how far I need to be, I can be more effective at stealth than before.

  • @vgman94 No, it's not too good, I just never that the other camo did anything. There is a camo that let's you stand still while remaining 100% hidden though. That's the only camo that I knew that did anything.

  • @frankyagernull Technically, it's 99%, but it might as well be 100%. The Haven Camo, right? I always thought that was cool, but I don't think it was practical. What can you really use it for? And how much camo do you have while crouching, crawlling and moving in those positions? That's what I'd like to know.

  • @vgman94 That health regeneration trick might work while standing too, but I prefer you to crouch to avoid enemy gunfire. Like in the part with rat patrol and the Frogs or having a sniper fight with Crying Wolf.

  • @frankyagernull ... Act 2's section where you ride on Drebin's Stryker. Really? It attracts more than just throwing a Stun grenade? Crap. Well, it can still be useful in some areas. The confrontation with the Frogs in Act 5 before Screaming Mantis comes to mind.

  • @vgman94 OK, when you are riding on Drebin's Stryker, use the custom shotgun and buy and equip V-ring rounds. that stuns them better. The stun grenades are only effective on bosses.

  • @frankyagernull The Saiga12 has rapid fire capability along with V-Ring ammo so that could be as useful or more useful than the Twin Barrel. 2 questions I thought of right now; Can the battle suit enemies at the beginning of the Drebin ride be stunned or do you need to ignore them? And why does the Solar Gun cause alerts so easily? I don't understand that. Is it because of Snake saying "GO!!!" or is it something I'm doing?

  • @vgman94 Yes they can be stunned. I shot them in the chest with v-rings and it worked. try using the solar gun at spots where you absolutely cannot get an alert phase. You can test how much noise you are making when you shoot a gun by opening up the solid eye and using your radar. The dot in the center is you, and how much noise you are making.

  • @vgman94 Sorry about making so many posts. D: Um, also if your psyche does happen to be low at the time, you can equip this herb you can find in South America. You get it by saving the rebel soldiers at the start of the mission. One of them will open a door in which you can enter and also find rebel camo. =) You can also use the syringe too but using that too much makes you sick.

  • @vgman94 And if you really need the Ipod song, You can sometimes give rebel soldiers rations and they give stuff to you. To do that open the menu and press circle to give them a ration. You must have some sort of relationship with them though.

  • @frankyagernull I've done it a few times, they give me nothing. I'm not sure if I have to grab them and then give them the ration after letting go, or use other healing items. It's possible that I just give up too quickly. I give around 2 rebels items only. I probably should try giving one to all of them. Muna? I use it, but it doesn't work too well. It does maintain the level of psyche well enough, though. Don't worry. I don't mind long posts. I like detailed conversations.

  • @vgman94 Ah, OK. Just check online for iPod songs that regenerate energy. Also, On act 3 wear Raiden's mask with the civilian coat. You won't get caught unless you go down a dead end street. If you open fire on the guards though, they will obviously take you for an enemy so just try not to get seen when you pull that off. The resistance member though will always shoot at you if he sees you so he's an exception in that part. Even the guards driving on the jeeps won't do anything.

  • @frankyagernull I heard most FaceCamos do that. I saw a video where a guy used Otacon's face and it worked, and another using a Beauty's face. So most camos will work. I saw a trick where you save at the end of an area after the Resistance member left it, then you exit, come back and race over to the end of the area and you can find the guy in the next area without having to waste time waiting for him. Even the jeeps? GREAT! Thanks for the tip! I'll use that next time when I get there.

  • @vgman94 Yeah, but I'm not too sure about the helicopters or the guards in the helicopter areas. I also heard a rumor from my brother in act 2 that you won't get caught using laughing beauty face camo there either. I'm going to test it out later today.

  • @frankyagernull I never have seen the helicopter in the area where there's supposed to be one. I just high-tail it (well, as fast you can while crawling). In Act 2?? Act TWO? Solid Sun? Really? If that's true, walking through PMC areas could be so much easier. If you meant Act 3, that's alright too. Using a beauty camo apparently makes it alright for the Resistance member to spot you as long as you don't do anything conspicuous.

  • @vgman94 Yeah, I meant Act 2 where you have to track down Naomi in South America. About the Haven Camo, you have to be standing still for it to work. So it would probably be better to use the Autocamo. It might come in handy when you are standing still picking people off though.

  • @frankyagernull Oh. The Frog troops might get fooled. Got it. I stopped just at that area last time I played. Good to know. Good idea for the Haven Camo. That's probably the only way to use it well.

  • @vgman94 The thing about the snake camo is true. I know that much. :]

  • @frankyagernull :D That means I don't need the Stun Knife. Just press R1 and TKO as they say in Punch-Out.

  • @vgman94 Yeah, I barely tapped the guy and he fell over like an unplanted tree. :/

  • The one thing I hate most in this game, is that they make Snake look like a sissy girl when he is confronted by the powerless bitches.

  • IT FINALLY WORKED FINALLY!!!!!

  • hey in which level are you playing?i`m trying to use this technique on extreme but she always spots me when i get closer, even when i come from the sides.but i`m not sure if she spots me or if she smells me.its freaking hard.

  • @brunodfff Its on Extreme have a look at your Camo Index also check where i stop running and start wlaking, If she's stationary like this as long as your not in her line of sight (in front of her) it should work. It isn't easy to do however and her position does constantly change.

  • @brunodfff Yes, and you also should look at the wind direction. If the wind is blowing from you to her, she can smell (!) you.

  • @Anonymous007K007 yeah i already knew that. but thanks anyway.

  • I always have trouble trying to locate her... :/

  • @gamefreak14100 Ikr? that's my only problem. I went in circles all around the map but it seems she follows me around or something.

  • u didnt actually get an alert is because u stunned her tht sound went off it happens with the octopus whn u stun her tooo i think im not sure havnt played story in a while but ik it wasnt an alert i assure you

  • tyvm dude. i cant for some reason do it with the g launcher, after the 1st shot she covers herself, but this strategy worked perfectlt XD

  • oh pure awesomeness

  • Most amazing

  • you guys need to read the info more often...

  • yeah u got an alert at the end

  • for the crying wolf fight if the haven troops or wolf sees u and u see a alert it doesnt count for this part

  • really? thats a relief

  • you know to begin with i liked his speed run but now i just think hes a douche

  • this isnt a new game at 0:20 he has steal th and bandana

  • Read the Information ----->

  • @AdnanKauser They went and moved the information on you! Now it's ^^

  • Comment removed

  • you dont have to kill her with nonlethal during the main fight just when she comes out of her suit unless you want the statue but on "extreme" you dont get to buy tranq ammo so why waste it not a true speed run you fail

  • Dued theirs like 40 more tranq ammo inside the base and its not like hes going to use it again. So it's not really wasting ammo, and not total fail.

  • dude I have a question... Im at this part of the game, a new one in normal solid, I want to use the grenade launcher, but the problem is that WOLF isnt in the place you show us in the video...

    Hows that??

  • its random

  • dud, first, great methods ur awesome! but crap, I stock up full my Nade launcher with non lethal, now I dont have any...how the hell do u get Stun nades for the launcher???

  • u have 2 buy from drebin i think there pretty rare

  • scrach that u can only buy em on eazy modes

  • Wow dude. Just wow. You need to post some more MGS4 stuff. You're off the hook!

  • The Alert actually doesnt count anyways :-)

  • ADNAN IS KING!

  • YOU ARE SHITTEN ME

    My fastest was 20 minutes

(still got the big boss emblem :p)

  • nice dude. this will help people on the big boss emblem walkthrough

  • Adnan is my neighbour!

  • Amazing, thanks for this excellent tip. Good job

  • not bad

  • the grenade launcher with stuns works faster!

  • Its a New Game method meaning the Grenade Launcher with Stun would be unavailable on Extreme.

  • ohic

  • god damn i thought i was good at MGS,jesus!

  • yes it would u get the grenade launcher from raving raven in act 3

  • yeah but you cant buy the stuns for it in Extreme, therefore, you cant use that method

  • you must have them before you are going for BBE. and you can still fetch 10 at the heliport in the same act.

  • I wanna give you a lapdance.

  • lol. Think I'll pass :-p

  • very nice, i've tried this but she got me with rail gun and ran off although i threw the smoke right on her

  • You can't allow the smoke g to hit her directly otherwise she covers up and runs away, its got to land between her legs!

  • Great.

CAnt wait to see Act2-End speed run.

Ive done my share of finding tricks and idd like to see what others have come up with.

  • Excellent.

  • Use the grenade launcher for the stun g. Much faster.

Getting SW in that location is random I take it?

  • Wow, that's genius. Thanks for sharing ! ! !

  • there no alert you got the sound but that didnt count as an alert, if you beat the boss then an enemy see you, does the alert sound, doesnt count or unless the enmy saw you befor you stunned her, if just move the the left a little bit you wont get the alert, and if you didnt pause at 1:06

  • That does count as an alert. I did a fox hound run and got 1 alert on some shit just like that.

  • right when you killed her your just got an alert

  • I have that happen to me. I was pissed.

  • But not on extreme.

  • it is faster to use ravens grenade launcher for the stun grenades get her down in like 5 seconds.

  • I just remember on new game u cant use stun grenades in ravens launcher. Please ignore last comment and sorry.

  • not bad

  • I would of never thought of using granades against her, nice job.

  • That is wicked. I'm attempting the game on extreme using your guide.

Cheers! and thanks for the Video
