Iran was attacked & occupied by British & Soviet forces in September of 1941. The king (Reza Shah) was sent to die in exile in Africa.
British occupation forces left in 1946 under US pressure. Soviet forces continued occupation and were later forced to withdraw by US threat to use NUKES.
Iran remained a US protectorate state through 1960s.

Of course the US' regime changes began with the Hawaiian Kingdom in 1893 when they helped a few mostly American businessmen overthrow the Queen. They've continued this streak throughout time and is still trying it today as what happened with Iraq as well. Thanks again for this video!
