Ahh, old weird dr. who. I miss when it was possible to make smart programming for kids, something that all ages could appreciate, something that was not 100% lcd commerce.
interesting that in those days the writers didn't feel the need to save the countdown with just 1 second to go...in this scene there is a healthy 35 seconds left
This scene has got to be one of the best in the series, thrilling without going over the top (something we'll probably never find in Nu Who). Brilliant!
@icemachine79 Not to mention leaving little bits of yellow tape on the floor exactly where Liz was standing, no doubt the Primroid's had a fiendish scheme involving film and yellow tape, alas their plan died with them...
The fire extinguisher was used for all the primords in this serial because they like the heat and can't stand cold. This was a very good episode and one that scared the hell out of me when I first saw it in the 70's as a very young kid.
hahaha I just realized this. The Doctor likes to use Fire Extinguishers to defeat his enemies. Even David Tennant would shut down the robots with a fire extinguisher on The girl in the fireplace :p

how come wheneer primords are at their most aggresive or active you hear that weird metallic drumming sound at 1:07 for example.

Yes, If there's a monstrous hairy man loose in the building, spray him with a fire extinguisher. I mean, why not? It works on fires right?

I thought that this was the best Pertwee episode of that era of Doctor Who.

Apparently part of the process of turning someone into a Primoid also converts them from videotape to film instantaneously.
